Not sure if its MQ2 related or not, but I am crashing now in CoV missions, its wiping me every time. Havent tried in general play, but so far once in Ayonnnar mission and twice in ST mission, all obviously have ended in wipes as was mid mission.

All instances of EQ crash out, and have to reload.

Crashed again, still cant complete ST mission, really not sure what the issue is, wether MQ2 or what ever Daybreak has done in the patch but EQ unplayable.

Update: Managed to finish ST mission Killed Vulak Aerr whilst LD it seems, crash only happens after a certain time whilst engaging mobs, have been sitting in instance since completion and its not crashed.

Just moved to CS to do Crusaders, all fine whilst moving, engaged 1st Dragon, crashed instantly to desktop. Will give missions a miss, see if it does it in normal zones.

I was seeing something similar to this yesterday - stand around, no problem, start to fight (yes, in an instance for me too), and the server kept disconnecting me and then it would skip character select, and go all the way back to server select. Log file dbg.txt shows 'Rejected by World, retrying' several times, 'Rejected by World. abort abort', and 'ERROR: ProcessGame could not authenticate to world. Bailing with END_GAME.' I haven't tried again today yet.
 
i have been in GD and grinding with rgmercs on all characters for about 1 hour and no crashes so far.
 
Half my team is crashing in GD. I use 3 installs, run two instance of each install, one of each instance per install crashes to DT. Event Viewer shows a routine error - Source: MQ2EQBCS - General: The Operation completed successfully.

Made 6 installs so, 1 instance per toon. Same toons crashed (WAR, RNG, BRD) SHM, CLR, WIZ have not crashed to DT. RNG, BRD, WIZ run KISS. WAR, CLR, SHM run MQ2[War|Cleric|Shaman].
 
are you crashing straight to desktop or are you getting popups informing you of a .dmp generation? If you're getting a dmp, you can send it to me in a PM so I can look at it.
 
Mine crashes straight to desktop, no warning, all 6 drop instantly. I logged out after posting this earlier as the constant wiping was becoming annoying and time consuming. WIll try redbots fix when I log in again later.

That is likely a plugin issue. Open your macroquest.ini and set any custom plugins to 0 and load 1 toon after. Then reload them with /plugin pluginname 1 by 1 until you crash once you crash you know whats doing it.
 
Its odd, that its only doing it in instances, when engaging mobs, just standing around does not cause it to crash.
 
Coming up with this same issue, crash while engaged whole group back to back crashes. I unloaded mq2autoloot and crashed shortly after, one group wasnt even engaged but was close to a group in combat.

The patch you downloaded after posting ahould fix it. It is a dps adv issue, which is why there was a patch to the patch patch
 
Loading back up, rezing, and running back to mission to see if problem persist after update, my other pc hasn't updated since 10 this morning (before this latest update) and it's not having any issues with mq2autoloot loaded but they are in a static zone so that may make a difference. Will update in 10 mins or so
Edit just seen you said it's a adv dps issue, other pc also has this loaded but no crashes.

as the other posts in here mention - its actually kind of hard to trigger.

it has to trigger off of a very long heal - which usually requires lucky crit and a long ability name.

anyhow, current update fixes that issue.

having said that mq2autoloot still has the longstanding and very hard to fix thread crash every now and again but the dpsadv crash should be fixed.
 
Yes update appears to have solved the problem, unloaded mq2dpsadv and mq2autoloot just to eliminate any issues they may cause then loaded mq2dpsadv for a few mins and still stable. mq2autoloot is also loaded and seems to be stable. thanks for the quick responses @Sic!

HI i have six accounts, all six where working great. Yesterday one of my accounts no matter kissassist or MQ2 crash after being on for a min or less. war, cleric, druid or mage. ive tried all 6 accounts on it. I mostly play in Great Divide. thank you

this isn't super specific.

is it crashing while running kissassist? or just mq2 in general? your post appears to indicate mq2 in general - in which case you wouldn't want to open a kissassist support thread for it as that is for the kissassist macro.

are you getting any .dmp files? these would be in your release -> log folder

howdy @devildog I had already responded to you when i merged this thread. Could you take time to answer these 2 questions, as what you are saying isn't very clear?

To use kissasssist (automation macro) you have to be running (macroquest2)

is it crashing while running kissassist? or just mq2 in general? your post appears to indicate mq2 in general - in which case you wouldn't want to open a kissassist support thread for it as that is for the kissassist macro.

are you getting any .dmp files? these would be in your release -> log folder

i deleted your dmp, since i said to PM it to me since it might have personal information in it.

There isn't really anything useful in your stack frame that would indicate what is causing your issue

do you have any .dmps that are not kernelbase or eqgame? if you do pm 1 of each type over to me and i can take a look for you

since a recent windows patch i've helped nearly a dozen folks with weird rando crashes by having them re-install the dx9 june 2010, so that might be worth a shot

sorry fell asleep, but they all look like kernelbase. updated or downgraded to direct 9.0c will give it a try thanks.

I'm getting Plugin Fail messages....on my Zerker and monk plugins. Im being asked to recompile....C:\ProgramData\RedGuides\DesktopUtility\mqberzerker.dll-- it is out of date with respect to mq2main (1619638919).

Ive tried reloading ...shutting down computer and reloading ...does not seem to help. I get a very similar message for the mq2Monk.

Could use some help to figure out what I Can do to fix this please....

Howdy Zafron - sorry to hear you are having troubles

this means you need to re-run the patcher and check the plugin tab as your download didn't quite catch the updates

I have rerun the patcher several times..... and ....just cking now, what I see is the MQ2Cleric and MQ2BST show green...however the zerker and monk dont show at all. They simply are not listed on the left hand side of the Plugins. Ditto on my 2nd computer.....I wonder if its been a year, and I need to repay perhaps ? I had thought payment was automatic .

No, they don't auto renew
 
Im thinking it must have......I'll buy one again and see if thats the issue. I recall I got the zerker and monk first.
