just tried to do the 6/21 update and the "access to path c:\programdata\redguides\desktoputility\mq2\live\release\mq2dannet.dll denied" what do i need to do to fix this?

I believe I recall these were caused by false detections by your antivirus product. You may need to exclude the redguides folder (and all subfolders) from Real Time virus scanning. It may also have quarantined files which you will need to restore from the AV product quarantine system.

I have allowed it thru the exceptions but continue to get this window, I cant find the dannet file in my release folder either just in the redguides folder, I have allowed permissions on the file but get a windows permission required to paste the dannet file in the release folder

We're aware of crashes and are looking in to the issue. I can confirm that muleassist has no issues or crashes.
 
i dont even see how to load mq2 at all atm.. just says something about needing an update @Redbot

I am getting the same error crashes using mule assist. Just tried it out after seeing this post but unfortunately not working. I am sending the dump files to eqmule.

Hello,

Since the new update today July 15, 2020 my clients have been immediately crashing upon loading the KA macro. The macro is unmodified and I am using the correct and updated .inc files to their latest versions. I have tried deleting my character INIs and starting with new ones, I have tried deleting and re-downloading the KA macro. I have deleted KissAssist_Buffs, KissAssist_Info, and kissassistbuffs.inc as well. None of these solutions have worked. I have also tried with the KA12 beta macro.

I believe that my crashing is being caused by buffing as it will only occur when buffs are turned on. For instance I started my Shaman with a fresh INI and his only buff line was Buffs1=Agility|Melee and the crash still occurred. Melee characters with no buff lines do not seem to be affected. DPS casters with no buff lines do not seem to be affected.
 
yup there are some issues with the MQ2 Pre-Release and eqmule is working on addressing them as we speak.

that's part of the pre-release unfortunately :( sometimes things don't work
 
Okay thank you for the very quick response. I hadn't seen a topic posted so I wanted to throw my experience into the ring for any info that might be needed.
 
There is a delay in releasing Very Vanilla this evening. New ETA: 9:15 PM EST. The pre-release has known issues which are being fixed.
 
OK SO I ll ask here as well.... using the launcher....icon in the tray....had to use the unload option...then tried RELOAD MQ2 function from the icon and nothing happens at all anymore... used to work just fine. pretty much gotta reload everything since running launcher again crashes the toon involved....maybe someone will FINALLY answer this question here...as I have posted numerous times to crickets elsewhere

yeah i think this is an overall mq2 issue where sometimes the reload mq2 thing doesn't work - I know there have been some conversations about it, maybe @eqmule or @Knightly might be able to chime in and give their thoughts?

mule doesn't always respond to the e-mails if he doesn't need more information, because he gets a lot of stuff to sort through (and would add a significant amount of time to the process), but he definitely goes through and looks at dumps and e-mails with issues and then works on the issues as they arise.

So first time using the RG version of MQ2. Things i could think on my end, i put the root directory in the wrong place (C:\MacroQuest2 is were the MQ2 exe is, and thats were i pointed it, but that rolls into my next statement), or maybe its because i have MMObugs compiled version installed and didnt wipe it clean before pointing RG's into there..?

you should use the Very Vanilla installer and "reinstall" with that. > HERE <
