Hello folks, just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, and to say thank you for those who create, innovate, and maintain all the great stuff that I've discovered here. I originally played EQ from a month or so after launch up until a month or two into Planes of Power. The timesink involved in doing literally *anything* meaningful in-game just became too much. Prior to that My favorite things to do in-game were usually an xpac or two behind current as it was easier to do with a single group casually. Biggest achievement I managed to pull off was the old Coldain ring quest (which is what I guess counts as "chase loot" nowadays), along with the old epic 1.0. I did come back to the game briefly about 10 years ago, made it up to 60ish and the grind just got boring, especially with all the AA's.

I recently came back to the game a couple of months ago with the idea of trying out getting Epic 2.0s on a character or two, since they can be mostly soloed. I duo-boxed back in the day, the hard way, with two computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, etc..., so I'm not a novice to boxing, but WOW, have things come a long way since then. Thanks to what you guys do with MQ2 VV and RGMercs, I have been able to experience so much more of the game than I would've otherwise, and I really can't thank all of you who work on this enough for your efforts. As a funny aside: When I came back, I ended up picking the FV server since it seemed to be consistently the most populated during the times I play. As I was going through early content, I kept running across gear that I *knew* was no-drop back in the day, but tradeable now. I figured the devs just decided to make some of the older stuff tradeable to make it easier on new players. It took me a few weeks to realize it applied to just about all of the gear now, and, that "free trade" servers were even a thing now. It was a very happy accident that has compounded my enjoyment of the game this time around as it allows me the chance to get raid gear that I otherwise would have never been able to.

Now that I am a few months in and finally getting my head wrapped around modern EQ, the thing that has me intrigued the most right now are the chase loot items that can evolved via achievements, as well as the other stuff attainable by doing these, like the familliars, hero AA's, Trophies, and convertable Augs (weapon proc augs). Hopefully with the tools provided here I can manage to pull some of these off, or maybe even better, group up with some of you other FV'ers here and knock them out together.
