Due to everything going on right now I have been considering jumping back into live after a significant 2 year break overall and playing TLP exclusively for years before that. If I was wanting to get a group going for grinding group content and possibly joining a guild for gearing a main what would be the easiest/fastest method if I was willing to purchase one max or near max level account? I assume DS PL with an SK as tank would probably yield the fastest results, is this true?

I plan on going gold and purchasing latest expac for at the tank account for obvious reasons and then using krono for AA purposes every now and then as needed.

Interested in doing a group comp of SK, Cleric, Bard, Zerk, Zerk, Zerk. Does this make for a good blend of max dps and still balanced enough to handle group content?

Any advice or input is welcomed! Thanks in advance RG community!

Damage shield powerlevel is still one of the fastest ways for early levels. Get hitall mac for the zerk's with "throw stone" or do the Golden Pick quest. Downgrade your DS though if you're 110+, the ones from ToV jumped way up in damage so you'll kill everything too fast. SK's AE aggro ability do make them the best choice, druid can do it all at lower levels too. Depending on your healing, you can do it all the way to 85 though it does get slow. Around 57 or so, nabbing a heroic pally and grouping the toons with the pally while the pally kills green cons is pretty fast. You get a free heroic during anniv 2020 if you sub/krono a toon and log in. Then handing them off to a higher level group (if avail) once they're within 30 levels for the final levels.

SK-Clr-Brd-Zerk(x3) is a popular setup and one of the highest DPS builds.

SK-Clr-Brd-Bst-Zerk(x2) is the another variation which gives you more atk buffs, a pettank for battle rez and more weapon delay reduction.

War vs SK is a constant debate. I run both and right now SK is huge utility since you can not only fd/snare split but also lull 70% of the mobs because almost everything is flagged undead in ToV. War is much, much better mitigation and with a bard seems to out dps SK on trash with DW/2H. Pally is still a distant third, though the undead dmg bonuses are really amazing right now.

Have you ever considered playing on Test server? If you don't know anyone on any Live server then maybe give Test a try. Running 6 accounts could stretch your resources thin if you play on Live. You might end up spending half of your playing time farming plats for spells or equipment. Then there are tradeskills. It can really put a damper on running that many accounts, and that's before considering actual monetary cost. On Test you don't have to worry much about resources and can focus on playing and enjoying the game. Not to mention all your accounts will be gold so you can use the money that you would sub on getting the latest expansion for all your accounts instead. Might be something worth checking into.

Anyway, as for PLing up your team, if you do not have high level characters to use for Pling yet then you might want to think about sub or use kronos for gold some accounts right now to grab the free Heroic char they are giving out(I think it's still available?). It might be better to do that and start your team at lvl 85 and go up with all of them from there than to paid for a max or near max char account. It doesn't take long to level up a group of chars around lvl 85. I leveled up 6 chars to 110 in about 3 months using 3 chars at around lvl 85 to start out. Of course I played on test where xp is twice as fast as Live servers(except for FV) so that rate might be skewed if you play on Live.

If you do however decide to get 1 or two maxed accounts to PL then yes DS Pling your char to lvl 80 or 85 then have it group with your lvl 110 or 115 would be the fastest route. Take your 2 char to a zone where your lvl 110 or 115 char can still get xp from and just kill things non-stop. Might take you a day to get the 2nd char to 100+. Then just repeat for the other chars. Of course the faster way would be to group your lvl 80 or 85 char with a group for 5 lvl 110 or 115 and go to a zone where that group for 5 chars can kill things while your lower lvl char sit there for xp. You can go from 80 to 110 in 15 hrs or so. Would need 5 high lvl chars to do that so you can only do it for your 6th slot char. Maybe as early as 4th slot if you opt to use Mercs, though I never tried with Mercs doing that so I can't said if they drain your xp much or not.

110 ToV gear is tradable so you can bazaar buy it. It will be about -5% stat restricted, since it's for lvl 115, but a 110 can wear it. The armor set is called faded snowbound and you'll need one tradable snowbound ore that you buy in ToV (CC zone). So you can look in baz, or pay somebody to run buy it. Roughly 20-25K per ore if I recall. The non-vis are all in bazaar and pretty cheap due to over farming now.

Alternatively you can get the RoS Conflag stuff in bazaar too. It's lvl 106 and very good for RoS content.

Spell rank I from any expac is avail in the starting zones for most of those. 110 RoS is in Overthere on vendors.

Rank II will depend on expac. Clawed Runes are the RoS ones for 106-110. Rank II mem/cast is available to FTP toon if you buy the 750 daybreak cash service to unlock them.

Did not know that it can be unlock like that. Good to know. I assume it's for the toon only and not account wide?
