A TLP without truebox has thawed (Very Vanilla ready)
For some reason, regardless of if in windowed mode or full screen, my accounts crash to desktop when I load MQ.....any ideas? I looked in the forums and didn't see any reports of anything causing it, dunno whats going on....
Set all plugins in macroquest.ini to 0 except mq2ic and mq2chatwnd
Go in game, now load one by one until u crash. Then report back here which one it was. If I see a list of plugins I would be able to guess, but until then the above approach will work.
I also want to know exactly which server it is.
Can you tell me what plugins I should be using? I had alot checked that I'm not even sure If I should be using them....its for a Chanter/Shaman/Mage/Druid crew
Well a list of what plugins you use is needed here to replicate the problem. As eqmule said only way to pinpoint the plugin causing the issue is to disabled all plugins in the ini and reloading all on your list 1 by 1 till you crash and let them know which plugin you enabled to crash you.
Once in game and you have turned off all plugins in the ini you can /plugin mq2cpuload load etc all 1 by 1 till you crash.
Everything is loaded and nothing caused my toon to crash to desktop, however when i tried to load in a second account it instantly crashed to desktop after clicking enter world...so I don't know what plugin is causing it....
Load MQ before you start up EQ. For some reason now if you load MQ (since the patch) after you start EQ and load in all your toons you insta crash. At least thats what is now happening on my end.
I helped a couple users out on video tonight. In one case there was likely a bad config setting in EverQuest, since installing a fresh EverQuest in a new folder solved the issue. Which config setting? We don't know!
@Chanticleer believes it could be map files the patcher, but I'm unable to recreate the issue on my end so I can't thoroughly test.
I was able to find that my old ( every day used ) everquest folder had the daybreak patcher in it patching the old dx9 file every time.
I downloaded a new EQ folder and was running EQ and MQ from that and it has a patcher that says EQ not daybreak , this patcher Actually does patch the current version of Dx9
only reason I knew this was winmerge. I was able to compare the 2 dx9 folders and this resolved my issue, for me 0 lag - now when using MQ2
I had this problem today. I had to unload the MQ2Heals plugin. I turned it on and have yet yo use it. Was the only thing I changed. Once I turned it off. I was fine.
@eqmule if i load eq then mq it will crash to desktop if i have mq loaded then load eq its fine, if i /unload then refresh injections it will crash as well.
Make sure neither MQ2 nor EverQuest is running in compatibility mode.
If that doesn't help, rename/delete/move the eqclient.ini in your EverQuest folder and let EQ make a new one - there are several settings that can cause issues.
