Ok, so I'm returning to EQ after a long break and there's a lot new... on top of that, boxing and macros and all sorts.
I've read through a lot and have redfetch running, multi-instances up, macros in game sorted, a few "group do this" macros too.
I've loaded a few plugins for maps, etc., but I am sure there's more. I'm reading about Lua, but as a non-coder, don't really understand that. Is it some code that allows your boxed chars to sort of act like mercs (only better)? Or is that functionality also included in MacroQuest?
Sorry for the noob questions and kudos to you guys for what you've done, but it's quite overwhelming!! Lol...
The redfetch guide is amazing and it's taken me about 4 hours to sort things out, doing bit by bit and checking it all works (I'm definitely more on the play-it-safe side).
So, am I missing something important, or am I good to go?
Just a word of warning for the other noobs on the MQ find - it will literally run you there, train mobs, drown you, etc., sometimes even run past if the height is off and it took me a while to figure out how to stop! Essentially I had to Control Shift Click somewhere on the map close to the current location which made it go there instead.
Thanks community!
