Implemented Ignore Thread (2 Viewers)

Could we have an option to ignore or hide individual threads, the opposite of the “Watch” button?

There are many threads that I’m not interested in, and repeatedly having to sift past them makes browsing the forum harder. An “Ignore Thread” button could hide selected threads from forum listings and search results, with a separate page or setting where ignored threads could be reviewed and restored later.

I think this would make the forum much easier to browse without affecting anyone else’s experience.

also, ignoring a user ignores their threads. if that's too strict let me know and I can undo that.

I thought about flagging outdated and irrelevant threads for deletion. When I first came back there were sometimes several answers for a question I had, but some were years outdated and now incorrect information.

If someone was inclined, knowledgeable of what's incorrect, able to flag for deletion.

i see what you're getting at - but this is kind of a solution in search of a problem. I dont think the juice is worth the squeeze

it is something i run/ran into a lot with doing videos - but i just try and remind folks that mq/eq is a living, breathing thing and to take information with a consideration that "this is a slice out of a place and time"

Also, if you ignore a thread, you may not want it now (i.e. you don't care about RGMercs because you always use class plugins) but you may not always use all plugins and it may be relevant down the road and you won't be able to find it without assistance.

I know RGmercs is a bad example as everyone knows about it. Maybe Lootly or perhaps raid tools are a better example. You never know how you and Everquest will progress down the road in the future.
