Hey all,

I’m not sure which subforum would be the correct place to ask, but this seemed to be the most appropriate?!

Anyways, I’m looking for any individual who is fluent in nav mesh modifications and is willing to teach me how to fix gaps in the mesh or who can fix it for me for a specific zone.

Private DM or reply here is fine.

Thank you.

Fixing gaps in the mesh is as simple as using the offmesh link to connect two parts of the mesh together.
Click the starting side of the offmesh link, then the end of the offmesh link on the other side of the gap. Then in the bottom right you can choose to select one way or leave it as both ways.

So that sounds perfect for fixing areas where there are holes!

My specific/current issue is that the nav mesh is there correctly on the x and y axis but the Z axis is off. In the navmesh program I see the mesh as being flat and below the world. It’s like I just need the correct z loc to make it work.

Without more information on what zone it is you're trying to make a correction for it's going to be nearly impossible to look into the issue you're currently dealing with and understand the full scope of it. If you'd care to share more information regarding what zone and area of the zone such as the location then someone may be able to look into what you're experiencing.

Air wing of crystallos.

When I load the eq map file and the nav mesh in the program, you can fly around to see the zone. For most of it, the actual floor of the zone the characters run on is superimposed with the nav mesh. I assume this is the goal.

When I fly over to the air wing, the navmesh looks like it’s the correct size for each room but it is located maybe -100 to -400 at points below the location of the eq floor.

I see what you mean - I moved the MinY bounding box up to -859.9, which I eyeballed to make sure it wasn't cutting out any of the lower areas, and did 'Build Mesh', and it seems to have fixed the issue, with the mesh up on top of the map areas. Don't see any lower areas without mesh.

i just rebuilt and uploaded to the mqmesh repo with that adjustment

You guys are amazing. Do I just run the navmesh updater to download the new file?
yep, the update just said it posted, so should be good to update.

let me know if there's an issue with it - and if there is, reply with a location that it is messed up at and i'll dig a bit deeper for you
