GTFO.mac - be kind to strangers

Release GTFO.mac - be kind to strangers 3.01

No permission to download
@eqtrader74 yes, that is the port setting. I’ve tried origin and that doesn’t work either.

@eqtrader74 and @LamahHerder thanks for the tips guys. I’ll test it out tomorrow. I’m running KA on my mage, so I assume mq2cast is loaded, but I’ll check

I'm not sure that mq2cast has any issues. Maskoi just went through and reduced KA's dependency on other plugins. At the time KA was the main macro RG players used, so other than a few holies needed changing to like /useitem or such, it wasn't a big deal.

But over a year later, there are a lot of other options out there. IHC now covers most classes, Chat's plugins cover many popular ones, jimbob's plugins got updated plus modbot & core have continued to have interest.

I'm not sure which of these still use mq2Cast, but I'm guessing some do. Since a player might now have 2-4 different systems running for various toons and some use /cast, that can cause these errors.

Maybe we can have a toggle for KA that turns it back on? Like UseMQ2Cast=1. Maybe KA doesn't use it per say, just doesn't unload the plugin. I'm not sure on a technical side what that would do though.

@eqtrader74 so it appears mq2cast is the problemo.

I will load the plugin manually and gtfo Mac works, but KA? keeps unloading it on my MAG. At least I think that’s what’s happening. Do you know how to prevent mq2cast from being unloaded like this?

it really throws off the whole max on my group, became if 1 chat isn’t at their bind spot (MAG) then they all /quit instead of following the macs ini (go back to camp and restart KA if coast is clear).

@eqtrader74 thanks a ton! I’m going to try this out tomorrow, but thanks again.

@eqtrader74 It works!

Thanks for the fix!
On a side note for anyone experiencing this problem... I noticed that my MAG was unloading mq2melee and mq2cast when KA started.

@Redbot , I have a question about MacroOnReturn=. So basically I removed all the bugs that made it camp out, because after posse would trigger gtfo, all it would do is camp. any number of reason's. an there was a lot. even tho it was set to stay playing but once I removed all the commands to camp it works just fine does what its told. now instead of running a macro I already have it set to unload the plugin before triggering the gate works wonderful, but I need it to load the plugin and then trigger the command something like this MacroOnReturn=/plugin mq2rogue | /rog mode 1 I don't know if that's right, but is there a way to have gtfo run both of those. any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

perhaps you would find https://www.redguides.com/community/resources/mq2posse.156/ MQ2Posse more to your liking?
Not particularly, as GTFO is the only mac running while posse gets unloaded when its run. so I need gtfo to execute the command to initialize the plugin and execute the command to activate the rog mode assist. just curious if you are able to run multiple commands from the same line or if it would work like MacroOnReturn=/plugin mq2posse MacroOnReturn=/plugin mq2rogue MacroOnReturn=/rog mode 1 or If I would need to do something that would separate commands like the | i'm pretty new to all this.

You could try a multiline command. I'm not sure if it will accept it, but these allow multiple actions from a single line:

INI:
MacroOnReturn=/multiline ; /plugin mq2posse load; /timed 5 ; /plugin mq2rogue load; /timed 5 ; /rog mode 1

appreciate you very much, thank you sir.

Love this macro, really adds peace of mind if I need to look away for a moment.

Instead of adding /mac GTFO to every toon in their posse actions,

I like to just set it on my porter.

/bcga //end
/bcga //mac GTFO

This avoids situations where only part of the group gets triggered by someone coming near the camp. If the porter gets triggered, everyone gets triggered.

Description
GTFO! is for those who want to kindly give up their camp to strangers quickly and effortlessly. It is compatible with every macro (e.g. KissAssist, AutoCleric, AFNuke, etc.) When a stranger is within a certain radius, (as detected by MQ2Posse) members of your group will give up the camp. Your group will then either exit, or wait for a period and then return.

Really, MQeqbc ... not DanNet?

Really, MQeqbc ... not DanNet?

I wrote this before dannet was our recommended default. If I ever get time I'll update it, but I imagine there's a much better way to handle this now with all the Lua projects that have come out lately.

If anyone wants to make something similar please let me know so I can update my links.
