Very similar to ToV, I decided to build out a "shopping list" for my toons, to help me focus on the gear that I wanted.

As a Start to your type 18/19 augs for the boots and ear. The AC cap ones stack. There is also one from TBL that is a rare drop and that is a 5% increase to AC softcap

the Crystallized Precious Vellium Ore - the tov "raid bricks" craft the 19 augs
 
So the Devotee ones you need an ore that can drop from raid instance trash mobs (I suggest not doing KD), but acolyte augs you can get the ore from the group missions, they are a chest drop.
Diamondized Precious Velium Ore is the ore you need for Devotee. Get a few more than you need.
 
But if i remember it well, you have to do the earring tasks arc to be able to craft them since you learn the recipe during the arc.
 
For the SHD and PAL 2H'ers, I think you might want to use Velium Threaded Claymore (679/37) in place of the Velium Threaded Great Mace (602/36).
 
@hytiek - Will you be adding a tab for cloth based toons?

I was planning on mixing half Hdex and half Hsta on my tank, is it better to focus 100% on Hdex over the Hsta? (genuine question i'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Hstats)

I don’t know many tanks using hdex. Most of them are doing HAgi or HStm or a mix of those.
 
I go balls deep in hDex on my Warrior, and will never look back

If you're raiding, that's a different matter... but for the group game, hDex wins hands down

Ok. But why?? Tanks job is to become the best meat shield possible. Dps focusing on a tank seems to me like a waste of time. He will never come close to matching a well made dps class

hDex affects your riposte and parry chance, which are your first defence rolls

hDex in the group game allows you to tank really and well AND dps really well (I average over 5 to 550kdps over an entire play session)

Raiding Warrior you want hSta, since strikethrough is set to 100% there... your rips and parry are meaningless in that scenario.

My understanding is you want the weapon to proc more often. If you're tanking you're probably using an Anger or a Rune proc. Both encourage the tank's ability to keep aggro and the Rune proc also helps mitigate incoming damage. I believe the hDex may have an impact on how often your Overdrive Punch or Slow belt procs too.
 
Away from the ambiguous side of mysterious proved myths or facts along with hot discussions all the way from old days of TheSteelWarrior forums till this very moment you're reading these lines...........i came out with a way to REVERSE ENGINEER it by seeing how Devs create/gear any class. It's simple, during beta using /Betabuff on a level 1 Warrior can tell you a lot of facts. A heroic character can tell many other facts as well.

Excuse me, but none of my humble findings approves hDex is a MAIN Heroic stat for a Warrior. Of course, it's a fluid thing and all depends on many factors/sitations/kind of game content you are dealing with/<<Insert your imagination here>>.

AC still king though, but i'd trim it with hAGI any day, any blue moon for my CoV T3 Group geared Ogre Warrior which i mained since 16 years ago.
 
There are a few hDex raid warriors in the bleeding edge of content that dps like their hair is on fire AND tank extremely well. I happen to know of one who’s the guild’s top MT warrior. A quick look at magelo also shows that there are at least 4-5 hDex SKs in the top 20.

So, given we agree that hDex in the group game is king AND there seem to be some in the raid game who also opt for hDex, it seems like a no brainer to go that route.

We have a couple full hDex tanks (warriors and SKs ... pallies should still do hAgi/hSta), and at least two others are planning to swap to hDex next expansion presuming nothing major changes in the way the game does damage output calcs.

That's an assumption that devs have covered all bases in Class balance (and we know they haven't). How devs want you to play the game, and how you can play the game are entirely different things.
 
I'm still gonna roll hDex on my PAL. I don't raid with him and in group game, it's just way too useful. Extra DPS from riposte + more procs (which includes shammy procs!) = yeah, hDex all the way.

Didn't meant to imply that pallies COULDN'T do hDex, but rather the returns on SKs and warriors are huge because of their aa's. Pallies can still see a good return on investment... that return is just a smaller percentage than SK/Wars.

I was going to point this out, as well. It's been proven time and time again that often DPG doesn't fully understand the ramifications of their balance decisions. How often do you see players posting parse data that proves an assumption DPG has completely wrong?
 
My warrior is hStam and never dies in group content. I might start peppering in some
Hdex augs
 
Aye, I've been swapping some Type 5's in when I go into CoV raid instances to clear trash for luck augs, just to balance hDex and hSta over the 2k mark and get that 40 shielding.

Does help tremendously in there, that trash is pretty brutal on a group geared tank but that's allowing me to do it with just one healer (Shaman).

Everywhere else though, I rather 38 shielding and more rips
 
Hey Hytiek, this is a fantastic list. Thanks for making it.

Today I noticed that two of the augs in the hSta tab are in the same lore group (Velium Threaded Intellect or Might). Velium Threaded Gem of Brilliance would be my pick to keep for Cleric or Shaman.

What was the TBL 5% ac soft cap aug mentioned here? Isn't it just another one of those type 18/19 augs? Or something else?
