Release Fragmentfarm.mac - Fast Farm Legendary Fragments of Alaran History Fragmentfarm 3.2

No permission to download
It works fine out of the box if you want to run and kill the mobs, but I do not need all of my toons running around killing. The rogue kills them in a couple of seconds.
I want the rest of my group to just do the run get the quest and then run to the entrance for the update, no killing, no assisting.

not sure what im doing wrong. SK i do /mac fragmentfarm setup "Cloak of Shadows" but wont actually cast it. if i do it manually it runs off and does its thing till the next time it wants to invis.

Edit
Tried several times. then edited the ini. still no love

would /endmac and try other things, then noticed after i changed it to cloudy. it was till trying cloak. camped all the way out. deleted the ini. and restarted it. all working now. so it seems like its staying in memory or something strange.

Overall its amazing. thanks for the work on this

faiding updated Fragmentfarm.mac - Fast Farm Legendary Fragments of Alaran History with a new update entry:

Fragmentfarm 3.0 - New "assist" mode and other improvements

Several EQ game patches have gone by and this mission hasn't been nerfed, so it's time for an update! The purpose of this update is to make it easier for alts and other non-active members of your group or raid to receive Alaran tablets. In theory, one person could now run the mission for 72 other people continuously.

Updates
  • Added Assist mode (see below)
  • Fixed an issue that caused quest dialog to trigger...

Let me know if the latest version makes any of this easier. I tested it as a Bard doing the killing and 2 other characters tagging along in assist mode. Ran it for about 4 fragments.

I'm running this with a group of four. When I enter /mac fragmentfarm assist on my two casters, I get the error in the pic. If I run it on the grouped BER, /mac fragmentfarm assist, she takes off running away from the group, presumably to begin the quest on her own. All without entering /mac fragmentfarm on the main toon, SK.

While mq2cast was already loaded, unloading and loading it again helped my two casters, but not the BER. The group leader, running /mac fragmentfarm, crashes to desktop when entering combat.

I tried this today but after a few minutes i get these crazy spam...moving so fast can't really tell whats going on lol

I'm testing some fixes I've implemented for the aforementioned issues. Will post an update soon.

That's intended. The assist characters move in position for the location update, then back/forth to Bodhessel when they get their kills. Folks running this in raids would eventually get locked up waiting for everyone to get in sync if they were interdependent.

Regarding the CTD, that's often caused by Plugin issues (mq2cast, mq2nav, mq2melee). If you still have problems after the next update, PM me your config and I'll test it on my end.

Just tried the new version 3.1 with assist mode.
Had a raid of 24 toons in Assist mode and One SK PC doing the kills.

The SK Tank didnt get any errors...Just Quit to Desktop.

I reloaded him and tried again....after 5 minutes..He Quit to desktop again.

Can we make a debug mode to determine what he was doing when he crashes?

Sure. I'll add some logs.

definitely something weird happens when grouping up. Runs fine Moloing the task...but add people to grp and boom CTD..not once..but several times in a row. Does it allow for Multiple people killing?

faiding updated Fragmentfarm.mac - Fast Farm Legendary Fragments of Alaran History with a new update entry:

Fragmentfarm 3.2 - (Recommended) Debug Mode and Stability Fixes

First, a thanks to those who have provided feedback. I've taken a bit of extra time to address macro stability and compatibility with larger groups. The new features added in this patch are Debug mode and Broadcasts.

Updates
  • (1) Feature: Debugmode (off by default)
    • Type /startdebug [0 | 1 logfile] while macro running to start
    • Type /stopdebug while macro running to stop
  • (2) Feature: Location broadcasts to...

It does, but I recommend having only 1 person killing. Try the new version I posted and let me know if that resolves.

Anyone calculated how many frags needed to max this aug from level 1 to max?

It depends. You're going to be killing alarans to get quest updates, so those kills advance the tear. It's better to horde fragments and only start clicking once you have enough to finish. The breakdown is:

Level 1 earns 10% per click
Level 2-4 earns 20% per click
Level 5-7 earns 15% per click
Level 8-9 earns 10% per click
Level 10+ earns 5% per click.

So, you can see that once you hit level 10, you need 200 fragments to finish (20 per level). The tear evolves much faster at lower levels from killing and then slows way the heck down once you hit lvl 8-10. 10+ is ALL fragments because each level past 10 is a hell level.

I have been doing this for a while with my monk molo, and at one spot he gets stuck behind the headboard of a bed and crashes to desktop after a while, when he gets stuck there I have to end macro move him in a position on the side or foot of the bed the mob is on and attack then restart macro, then after the fight he uses another invis potion and moves to the next area to look for mobs instead of looking for close mobs where he is at.

The mob and location he is at:
a_citizen01
loc: -970.88, 1728.75, -465.18

not sure if this happens with other melee classes as I have only tried with the monk.

edit: I also increased the zradius to 100 and it seems to help finding the mobs path better.

Kinda having a lot of issues running this now. 1st character i ran thru this had a separate plugin to cast nukes and heals. 2nd character 115 ranger has died quite a few times. I'm also noticing pathing issues and agro issues. My guy will agro 5 mobs and keep tryin to cast innate camo. Lil bit frustrating having to baby sit this. (added after) Also not sure why, Blusterbolt is being used, i get a lil chuckle from time to time outta it.

Macro is upto date, installed and reinstalled twice,

It uses a "dumb" method of just casting whatever detrimental spells you have memmed. Just un-mem whatever spells you don't want it to cast. I'll run my Ranger through it when I get a chance and see if I run into any of your issues.

Thankfully got it done, took some time but it's done. Think i'll give it a break for a few, and then when i lose my mind i'll get it on my tank, but for now 2 tears done, WOO, still love the macro

Having an issue that seems pretty solvable:

I've been using Philter of Shadows for invis. Figured I'd go farm the Mask of Shadows for an invis clicky.

Problem is, when my toon tries using the Mask of Shadows, it gets interrupted and recasts on a loop. I'm assuming this is due to the long cast time (something around 7s).

The culprit seems to be that various parts of the macro have a hard coded 2s wait time, such as:

/if (!${Me.Invis} && ${hasValidInvisItem} && !${Me.XTarget[1].ID}) { /call _DEBUG "WatchQuest" "Invis dropped, recasting" ${Macro.CurLine} ${Macro.RunTime} /call InvisMe /delay 2s }

It would be nice if it would wait until the spell was finished casting, or at least there was a line in the INI to set the delay. As it stands, the 2s wait time for invis is kindof spread throughout the code in so many places I'm afraid (and too tired) to start mucking with it. So I'll go back to invis pots for now.

I am having issue with this macro. In the living quarters where there are two levels mq2nav will not run my toon up or down to kill if I had just killed a mob and there is one in the room right above me. I have to turn off mq2nav and hand run him up there or down there. If i do not do this then my toon will sit in the room above or below the mob eternally. Is there a way to fix this issue ?

So this one's got me stumped:

I ran FragmentFarm on two toons just fine. Strangely, my third toon (a bard) falsely thinks that is has the Fear Begins At Home quest when it doesn't. It doesn't pick up the quest, just runs straight to the underground area.

I've tried a bunch of things to fix this.
* Rebooted
* Made sure quest task widow was open
* Copied the INI file from a working toon (in case the INI was getting generated wrong somehow)
* Dropped all my other quests.
* Manually picked up the quest (it ran it once and then didn't pick it up again)
* Added debug logs to the macro. ${Task[${taskName}].ID evaluates to 3791 when it doesn't have the task, which is the same as on my working toons when they have the task. Working toon correctly evaluates to NULL when there is no task.
* Made sure the quest overlay window was visible (just in case)

Annnnd yeah. Nothing.

This macro is fantastic. We need to add a feature where someone can send a tell and you will invite them to join your group. Guy on my server entirely AFKing it right now, it's really slow to compete for mobs and we both just stand in the same spot. Very sad.

You should think about putting 2 mage cohes in one that calls for getting the quest and the other cohing near the enterance

I've been away from the game for a bit working on other projects. I'll try and take a pass over the holiday break to address some of the bugs. This was my first macro and can use some improvements.

Let me know if you need help or want to collab. Pretty popular on my server, would love to add some more mobs to the kill areas and help out however else.

I made some custom mesh changes to try and fix some of the dead zones and improve the pathing so that my character doesn't get stuck ever. I also blocked off the area to the south since my character seemed to go there sometimes to kill unrelated mobs. It is running smooth for me, but let me know if there are any issues.

Disclaimer: These mesh changes are solely for use of this macro and will prevent mq2nav access to a certain part of the zone south of the quest mob area.

FYI, there's a bug that prevents using invis items that take > 2s to cast:

INI:
        /if (!${Me.Invis} && ${hasValidInvisItem} && !${Me.XTarget[1].ID}) {
            /call _DEBUG "WatchQuest" "Invis dropped, recasting" ${Macro.CurLine} ${Macro.RunTime}
            /call InvisMe
            /delay 2s
        }

This can be fixed by using the second parameter of /delay:
INI:
/call InvisMe
/delay 5s ${Me.Casting.ID}
/delay 20s !${Me.Casting.ID}

This will wait until 5s have passed or the character is casting, whichever comes first. Then, it will wait for 20s or until the character is done casting.

I've tested this approach and it works well. A similar fix should improve lev clickies.

Is there any way we could add a CWTN plugin pause when the turn in portion starts. and unpause at the beginning of the kill cycle?

You could fairly easily, but you don't have to. The mobs drop like @Sic 's panties*.

*Disclaimer: I do not actually know if: 1) Sic wears panties, or 2) how easily they drop

When engaging mobs, it looks like it doesn't start melee until after it casts all the DPS spells. Could you add a setting to start melee first? For knights and other hybrids, we are losing valuable DPS by waiting so long to start attacking.

Found and fixed a bug with bards. My bard won't sit to med because she's twisting. Added a quick fix to stop twisting before sitting:

INI:
        /echo \arNot enough HP/Mana to pull, sitting...
        /if (${Me.Class.ShortName.Find[BRD]} && ${Bool[${BardTwistSongs}]} && ${alreadyTwisting}) {
            /if (${Bool[${Plugin[mq2twist]}]}) {
                /squelch /twist off
            } else {
                /squelch /stop
            }
            /varset alreadyTwisting 0
        }
        /sit

There's an issue with Clerics running the assist portion since they don't have any type of Self casting Invis they have to use items. Some items have a recharge (like Steambomb) and others have a crazy long casting time like Fabled Incarnadine BP...either way, cleric chain sits there waiting to cast OR interrupts the invis spell after 3 seconds. Please fix!

Try Cloudy Potions, sold in PoK. My Zerks used them in the Explore.mac to get Journeyman, can use on the fly.
