Question - Farmable Raids?

Happy Easter! I was wondering if anyone has any raids they farm that might not be too mechanic heavy. I was hoping for content in the Rain of fear, call of the forsaken, The Darkened Sea or Broken mirror xpacs. Thanks!

The first question would be, farming for what, with who? Do you have a multi-group setup? What do you want to get out of the raid?
 
Off the top of my head, I'd probably say Xolous Prime, DH#1 in CotF. ETWK#1, also CotF. Idk too much about RoF raids but there are probably a few you could get there too. CToV is likely doable as well.

I'm assuming you have a single group of max lvl and AA characters balanced for tanking, healing and dps.

TBM is likely out of reach. Too many mechanics and some that outright DT you if you fail. TDS would require really good CC and you have to clear event #1 just to get to any of the others.
 
We duo'd Vulak in ctov the other day with 7 chars total. I think only 3 were even 115, the others 110 or so. The ae's are pretty easy to eat nowadays just burn and splash heal.

Hopefully trying more soon
 
^Was really curious about TDS1. I remember mezzing each side, but if the mechanics would just let you burn through nowadays?

My groups recently went through about half of the RoF raid progression and it was much easier than VoA because of the simpler mechanics. Still, you'll probably get stuck when you get to the Chapterhouse raid because it makes you shroud down to RoF era level which in turn spolis the raid DPS. Of what we'd done in RoF, Evantil the evil oak was the easiest followed by Grelleth Palace. Of course, the first raid in RoF was easy too. If we could've passed the Chapterhouse, I think the rest of the RoF raids would not have been too hard.

When it comes to CoTF, we 're up to Saving Jacyll. That raid will require multi groups because of the need to rotate drum clickers upstairs, but if you can find a way past that, you can do it. The previous raid, Doomscale Horde was a lot of fun and easy! You can check out the videos on my channel to get an idea of what the raids look like. Good luck!
 
Thanks for the info. I want to see some of the raids I missed while I was away from the game. I run 2 groups of 115 max AAs pretty well balanced and pretty well geared.

Two groups of 115's fully AAed is great! You should start by farming The doomscale horde since it will go fast for your team :)
 
Doomscale horde was doable with one group at lvl 110, so two groups at 115 should be a cakewalk.

Don’t forget to pull the final boss to the wall and tank it against the wall. If you don’t, the thing will fling your toons everywhere.

Did both Ethermere raids tonight Doomscale was easy the second raid was a little harder due to one point there is a few odd mechanics but overall not bad.

You might want to try The Legacy of Bayle in CoTF. We did it and accidentally started it without MQ2 running and still finished it in 6 mins. I think a group of 110-115's could handle this one.

 
lots of old raids can be burnt through now a days with low numbers
Velishoul aka EZ dragon ( now that he was patched a few months back for a while he was UNKILLABLE lol )
Grelleths Pig lady raid ( few minor mechanics - very very minor )
Chelsith arena
xulous Prime
Luclin ( not hard just some mechanics involved maybe 8-12 toons )
RoF - ToV 2.0
Argin-Hiz
pretty much all of VoA can be done with 2 groups

these are some that come to mind because I have done all these with very low numbers less than 12 toons

yes. VT, RoF have stuff... VOA might (I didn’t raid it). CoTF and other expansions have rk 3 spells still in use today (twincast aura, cleric hp aura, ranger bow disk, etc.).
 
Was it RoF that had the twincast clicky item? Always wanted to go back for that
It was basically a twin cast any spell item, worked in necro dots from memory

Can also buy with currency if you get all 3 ach, now that currency rewards are x4 makes it easier to get. Pretty sure 1st TDS raid should be doable with 2 groups, got most of the way with 1 group, but 20 adds plus named on one tank was abit much at the end.
If you get past the 1st raid there is a tank and spank raid upstairs somewhere, forget the name, also would try burning the 2 golems.

I’ve struggled with TDS raid gotten thru the first few waves easy but when you start killing off the stationary mobs on the ramps at some point all become active my tank was getting summoned all over.

We had a lot of trouble with the T1 TDS raid, Defense of the city. Once the agro gets going, the healers get ping pong summoned all over the place. I think you can still do Captain Tita's ghost which might be easier. The only problem with that raid is you get a lockout and only one try per week.
 
Do you lose your advantage of higher lvl and gear once shrouded? Will KA and plug-in still work or do you have to use shrouded abilities? Sounds like a pain in the ass mechanic for us.

yes, when shrouded you take on the abilities and gear that comes standard with the shroud.
 
Are there any of the ToV raids you can get into and just farm the trash mobs for any stuffs?
 
I tried all of them for Type 19 Aug ore and luck aug, but they drop pretty rare, the best I found to be ToFs.
Edit: I should add you have to do the ear quest to be able to make the Type 19s this expansion.(no trade)

and the luck augs start at 11 and can be Fused to 20. so 1 ToV luck aug starts higher then all your TBL luck augs stacked.

Can farm yard trash for Diamondized precious to make augs and luck aug for charms are really nice. On FV the luck is not droppable but the diamondized precious sell for around 3m. Both are pretty rare I have had the most drops on EW raid. I can one group them all pretty easily no respawns.
 
2nd floor of ToFS is easiest for luck aug / diamond farming.

Once you're in shroud mode you have more hit points, but the DPS you do is level 100ish, so it takes a lot of toons to shroud over. Keep in mind, you have to keep toons back on the live side to kill off the skeleton adds AND more healers to heal the sacrifices. Then, if you don't DPS marnek back into human form fast enough, he powers up and insta kills the sacrifices and powers up to the point where he will start DTing everybody. Despite this raid, RoF was a nice run compared to VoA.
