So I've been using a combination of KA and various CWTN plugins for about 6 months now and it's been wonderful! There's been quite a learning curve as I worked to get up to speed on how and why to edit my ini's to achieve the results I wanted. While I'm by NO MEANS an expert, I have been able to help a few friends and guildies get up and running as well. So a very sincere thanks to everyone that has helped make KA what it is today!
I did have a couple observations and requests that I believe will make the tool even better than it is today. First let me describe my setup...as that will lead into the nature of my requests. I currently have 12 accounts. I typically have 2 full groups up and running at any given time...sometimes 3 or even 4 as needs arise. There ARE time where I'll set up a full group please 1 or 2 additional support characters at a good camp location. Usually the out of group characters are already max level and max AAs. Most often this is my cleric and my enchanter. As we all know, the [Heals] section of the ini files has an entry:
And this works very nicely to support out of group characters. Would it be possible to add similar support for BUFFS?!? Something akin to:
This way both in group AND out of group toons could get buffs. There might very well be better implementation options, this is just one that came to mind. The bottom-line goal is to get buffs to out-of-group members.
Next! Performance. As I run KA on some toons and the CWTN plugins on a few others, I see them next to each other every day. One of the really nice things about the CWTN plugins is how responsive they are. As soon as a mob gets within the pre-set range of the toon, he/she jumps into action. With KA and other macros, the response is quite a bit slower. And, in cases where I have a DPS toon out of group...by the time that toon responds, the mob is already between 75% and 50% health. Now, I understand that the plugins are compiled DLLs and that KA is after all a macro. But, has there ever been any thought given to porting KA over to C++ or C# and compiling it? Or...are there thing you can tune within the macro itself for it to be more responsive??
Thanks for the consideration!
