News - EverQuest Keynote Recap

Info from the EverQuest keynote (yesterday) & CoF keynote (going on right now)

• Expansion is named Call of the Forsaken
• No level increase
• Can see stats in mercenaries
• AAs for your mercenaries
• Neriak 4th gate will be in the game, as well as other zones from the original EQ map that weren't in the game
• 2 more shared bank slots
• "LDoN 2.0" with dynamic content based on your group
• expansion will have changes based on pre-launch community polls
• End of September release date, beta starts in a few weeks
• West Karana will be the hub for the new expansion with portals to other areas
• Will be released in sections throughout the year.

If they make the content dynamic enough (e.g. traps for rogues/bard) it could trip up afk macros. I wonder if they're considering macro'ing at all.

We can always sell our specialty classes and just do warriors & clerics :p

They're already figuring out how to get around some of the silly crap. AKA if they put in traps, then only add in disarm classes after the instance is gotten and instanced, thus avoiding the need to program the ability to disarm the traps....

thats basically epic 3.0.. atleast the raid ones.. its a hell of alot easier though than the previous epics, but its their nice way of doing a semi epic quest for a decent weapon, even though they said they will not be doing any more epics

Don't worry they're only scaled on your level not classes in the group. The question is will they use currency from them to buy gear like LDON ? If so Get them on level 90s do them on level 100s
