Hi there, I got some things I know for EQ1.

I would like to submit this for access to all things for EQ1.

no cash for a newbie?
Finishing the tutorial missions will get you to lvl 10 easy. If you zone out to grab a Temp or other buffs if you ask a wizard to warp you to your bind spot(bind in newbie zone(part of mission)) you can fight all nicely buffed up.
break open all the barrels you see, looking to loot the bow's they sell for a few plat to merchant, this will get your spells easy. :)

Once you hit lvl 10 try the goblins in Butcherblock zone, think there is 4 camps there, warriors are a lot tougher. looking to lot goblin heads and goblin blood, they sell even nicer to merchants. Also a named goblin wanderer wanders around the zone, hes a lil tougher but not much, sell his medallion for some plat as well.
shold be able to lvl to 13 ish here maybey more but at 12 or 13 I go to Paludal caverns and hunt phlargs till I can get in a group with the bandit camp groups, might have to wait till 15ish. usually always some high lvl guy you might be able to grab buffs off in this zone.

The bandit camps in paludal should get you moving to 22 ish pretty quick.

At 22 its off to pok to grab a DS and a Temp and then run as fast as you can or gate to Echo caverns and agro the stingers. you can fight but the DS will wear them down quick because they attack you quite fast.
Also giving a pet any 2 handed weapon works great, at lvl 22 I gave my pet a heavy iron spike i bought for 5p in bazaar. He was hitting in the 50' and 60's

At 27 ish you should be able to solo some of the bogglings here now, in a group you can do stingers and bogglings quite a bit. can get to 32 sih in this zone from the bogglings and the big mushroom near the zone to Fungus grove. careful he summons.

Well 32 is starting to be fun, lots of places to level up in. Crystal caverns is always a favorite. The miners drop velium peices and blocks, can use the forge in zone to break them down into peices and work on a bit of smithing skill ups. The velium weapons the other orcs drop sells for a bit of extra cash, I used to get a high level mage to make me 8 10 slot weightless backpacks for when I was here, no weight means lots of time to get items to sell and no slow walking back to town.
The Geonids are fun here but can be a pain. they drop the occasional chipped diamond sell for a few hundred pp to vendor.
the spiders are fun once you get the spawn time broken, also save the silks for tailoring or make em into swatches and sell em in bazaar, should go nice at 10 to 30 PP each.
Terrors hit hard and not much decent loot off them, but a lvl 32 should be able to solo the Broken bridge ones, can always run to guards if you have a problem.

This zone alone should be able to get you to 42ish.

I will submit this for access, If well recieved I can continue to write more guides.

Now that DoD is out now and just about anyone can do a monster mission, its easy to get the levels to fly by. even if you cant use the items that drop they can be used for tribute.

Re: EQ1 stuff I know

If he did this himself...

I vote he gets in. EQ1 needs more strategies. Also needs people who use punctuation.

Re: EQ1 stuff I know

Hey its not like it was a guide for the experianced player, yes there are things most everyone knows due to a secret dont stay a secret for too long. I just figured jotting down a few things that I have done more than a few trimes with my own char's.

What are you expecting for an entry submission? entry fee being six bucks could mean the info and idea I might be able to take advantage of might do me more harm than good, or worse off have to spend more cash to make sure I dont get caught for a game.
Hey some guys take the game a little far, to each his own. I just like playing EQ, I have a great guild and cant keep up with them due to not being able to play very often, I was just looking for a way to make my char into a bot while I am busy doing other things.
But thanks for the feedback from both of you so far.

Re: EQ1 stuff I know

I can write more I been playing EQ for three years and have done countless research on mobs zones and camping spots for XP, just wanted to see if this kind of pettition would be well recieved. Just waiting for feedback from more than just the regulars.

Re: EQ1 stuff I know

Well, as far as I can tell, you have the two people tied for first place posting ont his thread. I'd say that's in your favor bigtime.

Re: EQ1 stuff I know

I vote him/her in too :) Sure, to the more experienced players of EQ, of course we have seen these strategies before... hell, we've tried most of them!! BUT it is still very handy for the newbies to learn these things :)

Re: EQ1 stuff I know

aye, looking forward to your next release. hoping its sometime soon :)

Well at the moment in EQ I just got a second account from my lil bro and have started a beastlord to go along with my 70 necro.

/afk out for a quick smoke...

Been away from the forums for a while, I figured my free access submissions were going to be futile. I did manage to get a free access from Creed. Thanks for the suport.
quick intro:
Played most classes from 1 to mid thirties till i got bored and went back to my necro.
Started playing roughly 3 1/3 years ago with a wood elf ranger falling off the bridges in Kelethin with my buddy. We musta played for 2 months staright and got maybey 4 chars up to lvl 18ish.

Moved out of the rat hole and got my own place, own puter, own account.
Started a monk, got to 54 and got bored, made a druid had fun porting people all the time and quad kiting in Karanas, killing treants. Got bored and made a necro.
My main is my 70 necro with no 69/70 spells yet but still in the works, got 100aa so far and doing ok.

Ok enough about me(could go all day bout that but wont)

I think the leveling guides have all but been exhausted by now with the new expansions only adding to the ease of which we can twink our chars and get gear from.
The AFK Guk Mission is a nice one.
What this is, is where you get a group and they can all go AFK, while you solo the mission. If you are a lower level you can set your XP to 100% Reg XP. At level 69 I was getting about 7% Reg XP per mission so getting to lvl 70 was no problem.
AA XP was roughly 1aa per mission, this was later nerfed to roughly 70% of an aa at lvl 70 but its still worth someone else soloing while you go to work, no worries about macros you dont know how to use.

Ok for the mission. I like to use the shamman. You can buff your pet and heals are nice, the necro is great but i found it a little harder to lifetap if I had more than one pet attacking me.
Ok so buy your aa and then save it for future use. When you load your previously saved aa you can move right away as it buys your aa's for you. most of you should know this by now.

Ok the mission is simple. The name says it all... Train!
Most of you have some experiance in this but you are not there to kill anything.
You are a big scarey frog. You mission is to scare 40 Norathian races out of the zone. All that needs to be done is to run around looking for the NPC's. Think of it as you are a frog in Guk and the Players are invading your territory. You are on your own and your froggy friends will not help you or assist you.
Once you find a player you need to stay away from him but let him see you. after he runs from you just keep your front to him for a bit till he is off and running. After that its off to find the next player to scare.
Once scared the players will run to the succor point. It should be marked on your map. This is also where the chest drops.
You can get a free port to the zone in if you try to go out any of the zone boundries in this mission.
At 30 scared players the Froglok you need to hail to quit the mission spawns roughly where you are when you hit 29 to 32 ish mobs.
Before you leave the zone make sure you take everyone off the shared task list before you take yourself off. then procede to zone out by saying /leave to the froglok.

I found if you have a few frineds that play at different times, If I play a few hours at night, a buddy plays during the morning and another one plays later on during the day. You come home to roughly 10 aa waiting to be used. depending on if the missions were completed or they actually played while you were afk.

I have no idea if a macro can be used for this, if its at all possible and I figure out how to play with the macros I might just have too much fun getting aa's.
Hope you have fun here.

Around 40, simply hop over to the higher lvl side of Echo. I soloed this as a pally back in the day from 40-50 before PoP, before Echo was a hotspot. Should be pretty good xp nowadays killing the underbulks and if you're smart, they all come single.

Bah its been nerfed. now you have to zone in and loot a shard.
Ah well just go sit in Nobles causeway and group with a solo necro, if you are a bard that can sing mana song they will try to adopt you.
