Greetings! I've watched all the KissAssist videos and read the wiki start to finish. I've got 2 questions I was hoping to get help with.

1) When pulling and I have adds coming in, my enchanter always attempts to mez highest on xtar, which also happens to be the mob my warrior is attempting to pull. Once the warrior breaks the mez, the enchanter will mez the second mob correctly. How do I correct this? Is the answer to turn on AE mez and then the enchanter will attempt to mez the unbroken one?

2) I finally got Bestow Divine Aura working. The issue is getting it off. I've been using Buff5=/command /removebuff Bestowed Divine Aura IV|75. It isn't working. How do I get my cleric to remove the buff so I can continue to heal?

Thanks so much in advance. I love the community you all have built. I was able to take a day digesting all the resources and make EQ more enjoyable.

I think you have the syntax slightly wrong for trying to remove the buff in the buff section anyway.

I've just used Buff5=<name of buff>|remove

So I'm not sure if you are trying to do something different or if that would work for you. I don't know if something in the Buff section would work in combat (I know kissassist won't cast buffs in combat so I don't know if it would also try to remove buffs then either). It's possible you would need to put it into your DPS section and do it something like this instead:

DPS1=command: /removebuff <buffname>|99

1) I would use AE mez. Try it and see if the behavior is what you want.

2) Looking at the wiki, should be something like:
Buff5=Bestowed Divine Aura|remove
I think you can leave off the specific roman numerals and it will catch all variations of Bestowed Divine Aura.

I agree with dal98 about putting the buff removal in the DPS section, but you might want to use a condition.
When do you want the buff to be removed? Once aggro is dropped?

I want to get the heal from the BDA though. I don't just want aggro to change, I want the heal to hit, and then remove it so I can continue to heal.

Hi, thanks for the response. No, I want it after the heal has happened, hence the | line. Not sure if it is possible though.

I don't quite understand. Bestowed Divine Aura is a heal over time, in the case of IV it heals for 8000hp every 6s for a duration of 18s.
Are you using Bestow to get 1 tick of healing and then want to remove the buff?

I don't know if it will work, but you could try putting the buff removal in your healing section
INI:
Heals5=/command /removebuff Bestowed Divine Aura|99|Cond5

Cond5=${Me.Song[Bestowed Divine Aura].ID}

If that doesn't work, then I would look at the plugin MQ2React.
I don't know the syntax, but looking at a few examples I think it is relativity straight forward conditionals. React is something I should learn and use but haven't yet.

That is correct. I just want the 1 tick of healing.

Thanks again for you help, I'll give it a shot.

If you are wanting to get rid of the buff after, lets say at least 1 tick of healing, you could change above condition to the following (from original post it sounds like you have bestowed divine aura getting activated).

Cond5=${Me.Song[Bestowed Divine Aura].ID} && ${Me.Song[Bestowed Divine Aura].Duration.Seconds} <= 11

Again, I think you could use that condition and put it in the dps section or the perhaps the heals section as mentioned in above. The 2nd part of the condition is what should click it off after at least 1 tick went by...it probably won't be exactly 6 seconds due how the server uses ticks and durations (for example when I used it this morning to check my original duration when cast was 21 seconds, rather than 18 that the AA says it would be)

I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ here, but if your cleric needs to routinely DA themselves then perhaps your tank needs work on grabbing and maintaining aggro? I know I'm guilty of trips deep into the weeds but sometimes we need to remember what KISS stands for.

The other side of this is perhaps you're pet tanking and your cleric is routinely getting aggro it can't shake. In that case @dal98 's advice is good. There's nothing to stop you from putting the statement in both the DPS and the Heal sections. I don't believe the macro engages the [Buff] section while there are mobs on Extended Target.

You can also experiment with the cleric ability Divine Peace and put that in the Aggro section as in :

[CODE title="Using Divine Peace to drop aggro"]
[Aggro]
AggroOn=1
AggroSize=3
Aggro1=Divine Peace|70|>
Aggro2=Divine Retribution|80|>
Aggro3=Sanctuary|90|>
[/CODE]

Make sure each of your character's aggro aa's are set. They're located in the archetype tab. They're passive, but you can :enable :disable this type. Spell casting subtlety, combat subtlety for casters and melee dps and bold attacks for tanks for example.

As someone that has played an enchanter since the game released; unless you are well equipped and have all the drop agro and AA related to keeping agro off you, I wouldn't recommend using AE mez if your tank can't hold agro.

If you are only pulling 2 and the tank can't get on the right mob then I would set the Xtarg so that the mob the tank is focused on is at the top by setting that slot to "group tanks target" or something like that.

I normally pull and break camps and crowd control with my enchanter as the active player and the tanks and healers jumping in when i arrive at the camp so I have never actually had to code kissassist to to automate those jobs for me or when I did it failed miserably because of situations like you described immediately getting my enchanter killed when I made new enchanters that didn't have all the best AA to control agro. (I made 3 fresh enchanters when the alliance spell line came out to see how a full group of enchanters would do, still working on getting that working)

Automated enchanters work ok at lower levels until you get past House of Thule zones around lvl 100 and my chanters start getting killed from bad agro control every 4th or 5th pull so that's normally when I switch to using the chanter to make sure only 1-2 mobs arrives at the camp and I mez the spare mob just outside of agro range of the group so I can keep it on ice till I chose to break it and bring it into the camp. I can normally get a conveyor belt working where while they are killing a mob i am debuffing the mob outside the group and pull another mob to start debuffing when the first mob is dead.

It's pretty basic to code a tank to hold agro and hit hard and have clerics and caster nuke and heal so I normally let them do the automated work but the character responsible for crowd control, slowing, de-buffing, and charming seems to be best left to a player character that can think on their feet to adjusting situations.

Good luck though hope you figure something out that works for you. If so make sure you post the ini file to the enchanter section, you might make some RedCents if people like your solution.
