Has anyone boxed the Plane of Shadow raid (or would it be possible to box with 6 -12 toons)?

I want to just zergy zergy it to try it out, but there also seems to be pretty serious flagging requirements and previous raid requirements to even get to this tier in RoF. I'd have to do it all from scratch. If I can't get the raid item for the coldain prayer shawl 3.0 aug I won't bother doing it, since the group version is less useful for me.

Any tips/ideas?

only the requester needs the flagging, other than that it "can" be 2 grouped but requires knowledge of the raid what and when to do things. Also atleast 1 pet class to switch orbs and an off tank to deal with adds or anyone that can take 20k hits, that is all for stage 1. Stage 2 you need max melee and deal with emotes, single target directional line ae, and a focus emote. stage 3 you burn the real boss from 10% down before getting aoed. alot of practice to do it I will be trying it soon since the drop can be pre looted and 6 drop I believe per kill

Not Zerg-able it sounds like? Eh? My main is a SK that buffs to about 300k hp and 6600 ac... I tend to just try to blow through things. I do have a 105 warrior that’s partially chase geared, but that’s it for tanks.

the mechanics are the hard part.... i wanna think the orbs were best if they were kept half white and half black

adds happen at certain percentages too.... great for an sk to aoe agro... i also did that with a war too tho... i never tried this botting... im not that good

You can 1 group it with current raid gear if you know the event. Bring a zerker for dps, a ranger to toggle the orbs, any plate class tank works(probably even a cleric in tankmode) SK is the easiest because of the easy ae aggro and self healing swings... cleric for heals and you're good.

Guess now I need to shift attention to the raids I’d need to do just to be able to request the Plane of Shadow raid. I didn’t do anything in RoF.

It won’t be as easy as you think. Tier 1 raids will be relatively simple with a crew of 12, less so with a crew of 6, but still doable dependent upon gear and skill. I’m assuming you’re attempting to 6-box it all by yourself using KA, but correct me if this is a poor assumption.

Shards Landing - Relatively simple, just need to make sure your MT isn’t getting blown up by barrels dropped from other characters standing around him.
Kael Drakkal - Also pretty straightforward, banish may be tricky but you may be able to just fight Dain at the banish destination.
Eastern Wastes - Should be an easy fight if you can work your way around the crystallization mechanic. Zerker decap is quite effective here.
Crystal Caverns - This one will require a fair amount of coordination across your characters. Assuming you can survive the orc barrel portion of the raid, the rest should be relatively straightforward.
Breeding Grounds - You’ll really want some strong ranged DPS to get your way through this one, but overall should be relatively easy as long as you coordinate getting your characters off the ground level quickly when the dragon takes flight.
Evantil - First portion should be simple, although may take a long time if you don’t have a Wizard / Mage / Necro to do some real fire damage. Boss should be straightforward as well, just be sure to dodge the mantraps.
Chapterhouse - This one sadly requires a lot of coordination as you’ll be moving in and out of shade form on characters. With enough healing and tanking, you may be able to take the shrouding at a slow pace and make this one relatively easy. Try to bring a few friends to help you out with this one if you can.
Grelleth - This should be the easiest one to just brute force your way though. Watch out for the Queen’s “change tank or get deathtouched” mechanic.

Valley of King Xorbb #1 - Here is where you might hit a wall. Need to balance the Mino / Goblin. If Goblin dies first, Mino can start hitting for up to 500k (can speak to this from experience). Similar problem if Mino dies first. Aggro is very hard / impossible to control. Also, one of your toons randomly gets banished and cant move or gets deathtouched unless you kill a slow moving spectre. Not entirely sure how you can beat this one without a LOT of brute force or 12+ characters.
Valley #2 - Very easy, just don’t use fire nukes or procs!
Valley #3 - Can brute force this one, just pay attention to emotes so that you don’t get your characters all charmed.
Chelsith - Should be an easy one to brute force.

Welcome to Plane of Shadow raid! Goodluck!

What server? Someone may be able to just request for you? I would happily, but I doubt you're on bertox

xrobb#1 goblin banishes and the mino mem blurrs every 18s I believe. Also the goblin does fireballs that do aoe splash+dot damage. The damage grows as the encounter takes long to complete.
KD the banish takes place if not enough dps on dain. Timer i believe or crystal placement been an age since doing it.
depending on the server I might be able to request it for you aswell.

You’re right, unfortunately. Not on bert.

Even if someone requests it, you -might- need to be flagged to participate in the raid. I say might in part because Rain of Fear was released in phases, with Tier 3 released after Tier 1 and Tier 2. I don’t recall if Tier 2 was ultimately required to participate in Tier 3 raids given the staggered release, but I suspect it was a requirement.

All the guides and stuff say there are participation requirements, but DBG/Sony removed some of that at one point for other expansions because requiring people to flag when folks were level 105 and could plow any lvl 85 event was stupid. I'm not sure if Tier 3 RoF was in that same boat.
