Question - Claim window randomly opening?

OK, Here is a weird issue I am having. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

First off, I am running CWTN plugins on all my guys. And the issue I am having did not start until I purchased the Mage & Monk plugins around mid September, not that I am saying they are the cause.

Today this is on my Cleric. Every now and then, not all the time, and not on every character, the Claim Window will open up. I can close it, switch to another screen, and when I come back to the cleric it is open again. I close it and as soon as I click another screen, you guessed it, OPEN.

Though this is not a real problem, I just minimize the window and move on. It just gets annoying sometimes.

Any clue what could be causing this?

I know this... but I cannot figure out why it keeps opening, and not on the same character, and not all the time. I was just saying that that is what I am running. But when it is doing it, I dont even have to touch my keyboard, just mouse click to a new window. It is all but certain that you're running more. Plugins, Lua, events, maybe even a weird hotkey that you "off screen" click.

I was just getting ahead of conversation asking/stating/asserting that it was the cwtn plugins so the conversation could focus on other stuff

I'd start with listing the luas, lems, and mq2events you're running.

I'd also do an /alias list and see if you got a kink in the hose

I'm pretty sure I've seen this, though for me it's more often the (not sure of the name) cosmetic item preview window thing (which would also be empty a lot). Idk how realistic this is, but I eventually decided it was MQ (plugins, luas, whatever, et al) doing something that collides with me alt tabbing and EQ reading that as the input that opens whatever window. e.g. if to open your claims window is alt shift c, EQ reads something from MQ as shift c but me alt tabbing on top of that creates an alt shift c.

This could just be bonkers, but since it only ever seemed to happen to me when I was switching windows it made sense

I have seen this randomly as well, and its not account specific. Will be a random account and it starts happening when I tab between windows. No idea why, but it goes away and just randomly starts happening again. If I acknowledge the claim window and close it, it stays closed, but if I tab between accounts, it pops up again. Not a game stopper, just a nuisance. =)

Not sure if this is the right place for this but, I am having trouble with the Claim window. I am not in MQ or anything but the regular login character while I am waiting for our great team to get things patched. The problem is that if I tab to a new window (like here at Redguides) and go back to EQ the Claims window is up. When I zone the Claim window pops up, and if I just sit and do nothing for a while the claim window pops up.

Now this happens on other tunes as well. I am pretty sure that it is something with the EQ patch and not us. This started happening when I could login to EQ after the patch. I have validated the files and everything is okay.

So I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem with the Claims window poping up or some other window that keeps poping up?

I get it when I run rgmercs on a zerker. But no other time.

I found if I opened the claim window and didn't close it using the "X" it would randomly open. Closing it with the X was the fix for me. Hope this helps.

I had this happen on a account, it's a weird bug. I was able to get it fixed by submitting a ticket to daybreak and they fixed it.

Update: I went and use the X to close the window instead of clicking the button to close, like you suggested Zuess. Well it so far has worked so big thumbs up to you and thanks a bunch. It was more annoying then anything.

This is purely an EQ thing. Alt Tab can randomly bring up windows. I've had so many different windows randomly show up i can't even remember them all. All from doing nothing but Alt Tab to swap.
