Question - Best insta kill class

With heroics on the horizon, what is the best class for the insta kill at higher lvl 100 and above. Ranger with head shot, rogue with assassinate, or zerk with decap. Thanks for the help/advice in advance.

Headshot doesn't proc as fast as assassinate does. However, with rogues, assassinations are only as your ability to take the hits or someone tanking for you. Zerkers, from what I hear, don't decap as often either. But, I can only really speak effectively on Ranger Vs Rogue.

I have found ranger as the best bang for the buck. A bow and autofire on assist is all that’s needed. Headshot seems to fire at a much higher gate than anything because when you use the physical damage spells it fires the bow 4 times. The only drawback is you need to hang out in headshot zones. Also no progression needed to be good. If you do progression on the ranger you get better spells etc but it’s not needed like say a zerker. Just my 2 copper.

It is my understanding that Headshot and Assassinate ONLY work on humanoid type mobs, such as Sarnaks. Whereas, decapitate (Zerkers) work on any mob, just not near as frequent.

rogues and rangers are limited to humanoid and animals and have to be certain lvl below their lvl
zerks have no limitation same thing, has to be below a certain point from their lvl
paladins have no lvl restriction (can be red con and they will slay)
think all have a proc limit per minute (may be 2)
except for rogues THROWING, think was just never adjusted to the 2 per min max proc

Just went to test on a dummy rogues can indeed proc assasinate without the proc limit that other classes have with throwing

Zerker Decap hits for about 200k - 800k, whereas Rogues Assassinate and Rangers Headshot hits for about 2mil - 6mil

Ranger headshot is still the winner this way, but no where near as amazing as it used to be.

If your tank is a well-geared SK, then no healer is needed. Rangers heal ;-) and SKs can basically tap enough to keep themselves alive in ROS. When ROS was current content my healer would die and the SK would keep on truckin.
