Question - Avoid looting double? (1 Viewer)

Is there a way to avoid looting doubles when it comes to armor? Since the looted items are named different from the equipped items(and different for each class) ?

No worries.. Mines terrible for no reason! So if I understand right you want something to verify you already have say for example Selrach's Loremaster Breastplate on your bard then don't loot Amorphous Selrach's Breastplate. Does it need to do a real time check or could you just edit your loot ini to not grab it?

I run a 6 char group on one Pc. As far as I know, they all share the same Loot.ini. Are there some adv loot file that one could edit for each character?

Honestly i don't think it is worth it, but if you use mq2autoloot to handle looting you can set each character a seperate loot.ini file and set it so they won't loot the pieces. The downside is maintaining 6 loot.ini files.

I don't think there is any way for it to check if your class can use it or not or if you already have a T2 BP that you clicked to transform to your class BP. I use Plure's Autoloot plugin and when I move to a camp, I see what drops there and go through the ini to add it in and state how I want it distributed.

Loot=Gear|Classes|WAR|PAL|SHD|BRD|RNG|NumberToLoot|1|

The plugin can't check stuff, but you can state it in the ini ahead of time what class gets what and how much. Like if the loot is casters only, you do

Loot=Gear|Classes|MAG|NEC|WIZ|ENC|NumberToLoot|1|

Or if it's prestige, you'd only put classes in there that you have that are gold. First to loot is the Masterlooter. Next to loot is who started the group and then the order in which next group invites.

I think it was stated in the plugin thread that next to loot is the Groupleader, but I changed group leader around before so that'd that toon would be second to loot and instead the toon I started the group with that initially did all the invites was still second to loot.
