So I got 10 emails today saying my accounts are suspended. The funny part is that I have not played in about 4 months and more like 10 months with these characters. I was planing on doing something with them last weekend, but got side tracked. I had them logged on a laptop in a closet to use as a second character for some missions. Well, I forgot and left them logged on. They were in the Guild Hall just standing there not doing anything. Oh well, not like I was doing anything with them anyway, but strange that they got suspended for nothing.

Also, these characters have for the last 2 years only been parked in the Guild hall doing nothing. Not the guild lobby, my own private guild hall. Guess they were there too long, now I know.

there is a data collection thread, i think they were also taking PM's, if you want, submit data.. that sucks.. and is odd =-/ sorry man
 
No sub's ever on these account, always FTP and have only sat in the GH for well over 2 years. Very strange. Only thing I can think of is that the GH was an active zone for the last few weeks.

Problem with that is the one's who get to enforce the rules are the ones who get to decide the rules. And they'll do whatever they please - not like we can protest, because after all, they won't even tell you what they are taking issue with - you can't argue against the fairness of something when you don't even know what the thing is that you're arguing against.
 
Put away the tinfoil hat... no one is suspending or banning because you're standing around afk in your guild hall for weeks at a time. Our guild's hall is basically NEVER down, which is sometimes a huge pain in the ass when a restart might actually fix some glitch.
 
Perhaps there was one other toon/account you were using thats linked to the others that were standing around that also got suspended eh? One you use on a regular basis grinding somewhere or?

There’s a fun mathematical proof where 1+1=1.
 
Why?

Because a bug in a closed source part of MQ2 designed to catch people out playing with MQ2 on truebox servers made players unwittingly send an ingame mail to GM woebot saying they were using MQ2 even on a standard ruleset server. Oops.

haha, well done :) If I recall, it's not obvious that you're dividing by zero until much later :)
 
Depends on what each 1 is. For instance 1 half filled box plus 1 half filled box equals 1 filled box.

in that case it really is not 1+1 , but .5 + .5 . or if your adding 1 half filled box + 1 half filled boxes you have 2 half filled boxes, if you really want to keep it as that.
 
What if "1" is a variable and 1=0.5?

What Sum1 is talking about goes something like this:
Let x = 1
Let y = 1
Thus x = y

We know that an equation will remain equal as long as the same operation is performed on both sides.

Multiply both sides by x:
x^2 = xy

Subtract y^2 from both sides:
x^2 - y^2 = xy - y^2

Refactor the equation to make the next step more readable:
(x + y)(x - y) = y(x - y)

Divide both sides by x - y:
x + y = y

Substitute back in the original values:
1 + 1 = 1

(or 2 + 2 = 2 if you let x and y be 2, etc)
 
I remember a math teacher showing us that in middle school. Since x=y dividing by x-y is the same as dividing by x-x or 0. A lot of weird thing happen in math when you try to divide by 0.
 
Is it possible he was afk in Guild Lobby and by accident he had Red guides ON and it was showing him doing weird things ?

That is the only thing I can come up with that would get him suspended in Guild Lobby
 
this thread is from months ago. locking it as it just turns into can-kicking and doesn't provide any useful means of communication + this thread was mostly off-topic anyhow.
