Question - Armor progression (1 Viewer)

Hello!
Could anybody help me with a question about armor progression?
What would be the best suited armor progression type when you level up, both for prestige (subbed) and non prestige (f2p)?
Something like this:
Armor type - Level - Prestige - Acquire
Simple Defiant - 5 - No - Drop
Crude Defiant - 10 - No - Drop
Rough Defiant - 15 - No - Drop
Ornate Defiant - 26 - No - Drop
Flawed Defiant - 37 - No - Drop
Intricate Defiant - 48 - No - Drop
Elaborate Defiant - 59 - No - Drop
Elegant Defiant - 70 - No - Drop
But after the defiant gear i don't really know what to get, both for my subbed and for my non subbed accounts.
I used to play on test, but there you could get almost everything for free, like blood soaked, ice encrusted and so on.
So, if anyone know and have time it would be nice to have info after level 70 with a short list and possible guide how to gear. both for subbed and non subbed accounts
When you level up you don't want to put to much work in to upgrade because you will replace it after not to long, but sooner or later you need to upgrade to be able to continue to level.

I really went thru the full line of gearing up on 2 of my guys and after all that work I decided it was a waste of time to be changing out gear so much and chasing the best for one or two levels. And buying the boxes to do the combines, like the Shroud you need for HOT armor, or the Rust tinged boxes etc. some of those are 10k! Or saving up a gazillion remnants of tranquility or marks of valor. Too much work for me!


So I don't bother any more. I leave them in whatever I get from Daily Hot zones or other quests or just what drops.

Then I head to Shards Landing, not for drops (but you certainly can) but for what dropped for others and they sold to the 2 NPC mechants that are in the tent with the banker . There are a lot of items you can buy off them for as little as 1 plat to 50 plat.

Then its off to FM where more goodies drop for level 105. Nice exp there too. And all you need to do is right click the item to turn it into gear.

Next is conflagrant. Buy in baz or make it yourself. 106.

Oceangreen Hills might be good for you as it has a quest line of armor you create and also stand alone dropped armor called Archaic. Level 70 and up. 200 hp/m/end

My main guy supports the rest of the group so until they are at level 106 and over, they don't get much attention.

A lot of the higher level stuff is useable on F2P also now, like conflagrant. I advise to stay away from stuff in the baz until you are over level 105 cause you will just outgrow it fast. And its over priced

Personally I just really enjoyed the grind and went through all the content and killed the rares. If you have higher level characters power leveling you can skip some content.

They have filters for literally everything you described. Levels. Expansions. Prestige/Non-prestige. Group attainable (No Drop but not raid level). Bazaar attainable (Attunable)

After defiant I think House of Thule armor kicks in around 80 and the main component drops from feerot / house of thule named. That should last you until 90 or so.

Don't forget that the merchant in PoK sells the defiant non vis gear. Several thousand plat so if that's an issue I understand, but by level 40 the gear maxes your stats so no longer need to worry about it. This usually carries me till HoT.
