Hi, all. Very new to all of this so I patched my game without knowing. That's the game on my C drive which is direct from Daybreak.

I also have a steam version which isn't patched. Does this help me at all?

there was a patch yesterday - that won't work with mq until mq is updated for it (if, since not a "required" patch)
if your steam version was the april 15th patch, then yes

mq and eq have to match

While I am honored to recieve mention on a sticky, as I mentioned in discord I got bounced after character selection.

I had not updated EQ, was using autologin, and let it try 3-4 times before closing the windows to stop the cycle. (Sorry to disappear after mentioning in discord, the wife informed me I was going to be kind enough to take her out for dinnner at that time)

I only mentioned incase someone else ran into the issue, as clearly others were able to log in fine for whatever reason.

After years of working with lack of communication causing issues, I make it a habit to communicate anomolies that I think may be important to others in an effort to be helpful.

Sorry for being such a noob here, and apologies if this is the wrong place. I updated the EQ folder on Redfetch to the one I don't think is patched and I made the patch me shortcut. I can't get into MQ itself, though because I get stuck here.

yep - until mq is rebuilt there is nothing that redfetch is gonna help you with for live

You can click on shortcuts and there is a box for Very Vanilla. You can click that if you wan to run mq.

Generally the idea is to start MQ/leave it running and start your EQ sessions from MQ. Then all the "see nothing" stuff keeps DBG from snooping your set up. Then when its time to patch EQ, make sure you got MQ shut down while patching. When done, close the patcher and start MQ (aftr MQ is patched obviously) and start EQ sessions from MQ.
