Got him down to 30% but probably need to write some LEM to pull this off. The charms are brutal. How's everyone handling this...?

I was surprised they turned of CoTH. That was going to be my strategy to get everyone moved around. The maze is also a major challenge. Do illusions work?

please don't do the whack-a-post where you make a post, delete it, and then make another of the same
Edit: Yeah, only reason I did was I wanted to test CoTH first. Didn't work.

I'm not sure what you mean, tbh. If you are asking about the thing where everyone needs to be the same race or be banished to the labyrinth then, yes, illusions work (AoN or Jann's Veil, for example).

I didn't notice an issue with charms. Are you talking about the final kill?

What I did have trouble with was failing to have all of my boxes click the crystal and then I got trained. I set up a hotkey to pause them, /doortarget, /click left door and then unpause them. If you only have very fast pauses in there between each command, that seemed to work.

If you have other issues I think you will need to spell them out.

Separate question: Has anyone worked out what the "What it wants" achievement is all about? Is it about not damaging the flagellant? Killing it? Healing it (will take some doing as it seems raid level of hp)? The description is unclear (to me).

"Trigger the Dark Flagellant first and allow it to ascend"

Ahhh, perfect with Jann’s Veil. That is an easy solution.

Your crystal hotkey is:
/dga /doortarget
/dga /click left door

Will that work on every crystal (which ever one the group is standing closer to)?

The charm is tough when I was only bringing two toons in each room (tank and healer). Being able to move everyone quicker will be helpful with a hotkey like above.

Thanks for your help!

I box this regularly. Just be ready to swap from chase to mode 0 for crystal clicks. You can use a campfire for the illusion too.

INI:
/dgga /multiline ; /doortarget; /timed 10 /click left door

/dgga /nav door id 96 click - this is North

/dgga /nav door id 95 click - this is West

/dgga /nav door id 94 click - this is South

/dgga /nav door id 93 click - this is East

Worked like a charm! Paragon! Thanks. Now just need to figure out the achs.

Healing it has been made much easier, they've reduced its hitpoints. It's much faster to heal it if you don't need the achievement now.

what are you using to click out of the room? thanks!

I have boxed it and gotten all 3 ach. Recently I've noticed the boss is banishing toons not of the same race. not something I ran into in earlier attempts. I would use an upgraded campfire, but I don't want to have one inside the mission in case I need to get back to Lab. I will be using Janns going forward after reading someone mention it. earlier.

I have a question.

I have been trying this and all my bots do not click and go into room. I regularly use Door click from Sic's hot keys but I am a bit confused as to what the other lines do. I assumed they navigate to a crystal and then click, but I am not sure. Either way it did not work for me. Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong? I have copied the text to a hot key.

I have a brain fart and hit chase again and I wipe. Edit for clarity, None of my bots click.

/dgga /nav door id 96 click - This tells your group to navigate to the north crystal and click it

/dgga /multiline ; /doortarget; /timed 10 /click left door - This makes the entire group click the crystal in the middle of the room to return - but they must all be close enough to click.

I've had issues where they don't all click back. So I run my tank to echo, grab aggro, then tab to the toons that got left behind - check out their distance in group window or boxhud to see who didn't click back. Manually click them back, then put everyone back on chase.

I assume that it goes in the order in the hot key. I dont use MQ on my main, so ill go to that crystal in the order. I'll give it a go.

Thank you.

I use my SK + Shm for south, east, west if im playing it safe. Shaman heals the north to full and comes back. Learned to not risk my guys wanting to nav to the portal rooms and bring tons of adds so i leave them at the boss room

My door click hotbutton doesn't always telegraph cause they may be casting or something. So what I have done is i click the hotkey like 3 times and all my toons usually wind up where I need them. Also here are some tips for making group moves easier on this mission.
1. Set up hotkeys to turn on Manual, and Chase. You have them in chase when you engage the mini bosses, then click manual. The toons will keep fighting and casting, but they won't chase any longer once the mob is dead. So in case your tank gets summoned before you click your toons wont run all over the place.
2. Pull the mobs to the center of the room, this will make door clicking far easier.
3. Before reengaging chase check your group window and look at distance numbers. if they are red they are still in that room, green means they made it.
Hope this may help someone.

I have boxed this mission successfully once or twice, with about 30-40 failures :)

I took the slow approach to the process for the mission to first of all learn it, then hopefully perfect the mission. I did have some issues tryign to get all of the toons to zone over to the rooms as needed, so chose to just zone over the tank and healer in most cases, and then slow DPS the boss down. I did not go for the greedling achievement at first, but I am tryign to find a good way so do that achievement also.

Here are my thoughts and process so far (though it will definitely evolve, and I may still have some elements incorrect)

1. Kill echo down to 80%, he goes inactive.
2. Zone 1 toon over (normally the tank) to the North room. I follow the NEWS route (North, East, West, South) to process the rooms.
3. Put the flagellant on extended target, then zone back to main room and watch him kill himself. This is the most boring part of the mission.
4. Kill the echo down to 60% . If you want the greedling achievement, do nto really DPS the Echo down, you want the greedling to spawn and give him 100pp 3 times I believe to get the achievement. Still learning this one.
5. Zone to East room to kill the Dark Oppressor. I didnt really see any mechanics, though he did a bunch of emotes as I slowly killed him
6. Zone back to main room, and kill echo down to 40%. I slowed DPS to get the add down (grudgeling) also before the Echo went inactive
7. Zone to the West room, and kill the Dark Maniac. He has a charm component, but with only the tank and a shaman in the room, it did not really affect the toons very much. With a DPS toon in the room , it may act differently.
8. Zone back to the main room, and kill the Echo and the add (spiteling). Same issue with slow DPS on Echo while killing the add first.
9. Zone over to the South room to kill the mob. I dont yet have the mobs name, since this was the least visited room in my attempts. This is the one that requires all toons to be in the same race. I used skeleton illusion from different sources, and it worked for all toons. AON, Frost bone illusion from an enchanter, etc all seemed to work for this. I have also heard a campfire illusion will work, but have not yet tested this
120. Zone back to the main room, kill echo down until he reset to 100% and seems to port everyone to a different room. I seemed to have some mesh issue, but I wasn't sure as it all happened pretty fast. I DPS'd the Echo down, while watching for the oozes, moving everyone around the room to hopefully avoid them as they slowly moved around. Killed the Echo, all oozes despawned.

I just got this one completed today as a box team using class plugins. I would say follow the advise given.

My insights in random order:
Be carefully with the door/crystal macros as toons miss the door/crystal click often and will train you on re-engage of echo. I usually put a pet on echo before unpauses and switching from manual to chase mode.

I switch to manual and pause while navigating the crystal clicks

You have a time limit once you click into a room so engage fairly quickly.

On coin guy after echo pauses I just leave a single pet attacking and gave the 100pp 3 times. Don't burn echo as u may kill coin guy as well at this stage.

I used my pirate illusion clicky and made everyone a troll.

When fighting in rooms stay close to crystal/door to avoid wall agro.

Dps isn't the win here just being patient and double checking where your characters are before full engage.

Team: bst,bard,sk,sham,mage,necro

As someone else mentioned, pausing helps for the clicks in addition to manual. Just ran the mission with 0 click fails by pausing before every click. Just be ready to unpause quickly.

From EQResource (not verified yet, as that will be the next item I work on) I am not sure at what point this actually happens in the fight though.

For the unfocused challenge achievement:

A phrase will be called, and the appropriate switch needs to be clicked to stop an effect based on the compass locations from stage 1. Click the wrong one and get the called effect and the effect linked to the one clicked.

Call: "The Echo burns with hatred of the weak and focuses it into one of the magical stones."
Eastern switch
Effect: Grows stronger (gets a little bigger, gains min and base damage)
Well retain that strength for 20 seconds.
Stopped message: "The Echo forgets its hatred of your weakness, for the moment."
Trigger message: "The Echo grows stronger from its hatred of your weakness."

Call: "The Echo roils with hatred for all that are not it and focuses it into one of the magical stones."
Southern switch
Effect: Burn the Others, PBAoE with a duration that does HP and mana damage as well as move slow
Cast once
Stopped message: "The Echo's hatred of others is derailed momentarily."
Trigger message: "The Echo explodes with hatred of all that are not it."

Call: "The Echo glares with rage at all of its opponents and focuses it into one of the magical stones."
Western Switch
Effect: Echo gains high flurry percent.
Retains flurry for 20 seconds.
Stopped message: "The Echo's rage fades."
Trigger message: "The Echo's rage peaks."

Call: "The Echo starts to gather all of its self loathing and focuses it into one of the magical stones."
Northern switch
Effect: Lowers his HP, gains shield equal to 3 times that amount (Barrier of Hatred).
Cast once
Stopped message: "The Echo's self loathing recedes."
Trigger message: "The Echo expresses its self hatred."

Also, one update on the greedling achievement. You do not have to do it from 3 different toons, you can do the give money part from one toon only (easier for boxing)

The echo emotes one of the 4 above each time he locks, but this achievement seems to be granted regardless of the order....as of now anyway :xd:

So far i always failed getting this achievement (got the other two thou), if i understood correctly I need to do the 4 rooms in the order the echo call them right?, sorry for my poor English (not my native language), and thx for the help.

I have never watched the emotes and I have done it in multiple orders. For the cheese run, I do the healer first (N), then Same Race (S), then Charm (W).

Greedling pops after the healer kills himself (first room) and give him plat 3 times when he locks.

After the 4th mini dies, port back and dps boss. He locks, poofs, and returns in the center of the room. Burn him down and all 3 cheese each time.

I went back through the emotes, and I believe the ones they are referring to are the ones that happen once you are transported to the last room. I hadnt even looked in that room to see if there are corner crystals, but I guess they might be in there.

The first time I did it took me like 3 hours, then I just made sure I double invis my guys before they run to me after I click then invis them again before click back to the middle.

as what happened for me...after 3rd try (other 2 were wipes) SK & SHM did each room N-W-S-E and 1 DPS to burn, another says he did N-E-W-S route easy win.
Fear they going fix it come Jan and be a interesting PITA from there out.

Click order aside, this mission is really easy as long as you don't bone yourself with missed clicks due to casting, or chase induced wipes. I've beaten it using a ranger to tank.

Just have your pause and chase and click hotkeys ready - and take a beat after pausing before you click to allow any spell casting to complete.

Anyone devise away to heal the flagellant at the north.

Port in and add the annoying one on xtarget of your healer (if using cwtn), other wise :f5:
And sit there. Couple yard trash adds will stop in for a vist, but thats all. Boring!
