thanks for the early notice dude, I was able to "down" live and toss up the banner within single digit minutes - hopefully that will prevent most folks from trying to update eq until MQ is repatched

This is looking like a new game we might be playing. EQ gets updated normally, then a day or two later an client update is entered, and a day or two later another patch is entered. This then makes the work our team had done invalid and they have to start over. Now they get that fixed and wait another patch is installed and back to the start again.

Now IMO I think that when DBG did the patch they also had the others worked out and just used them when needed. That way they have everything working the way they want and to screw with us they break the patch up and just install it when they feel like it.

To be honest I think applying whichever philosophical razor (Hanlon, Occam) is the more fruitful endeavour; do you really think that they broke so many things on purpose and had all of the fixes lined up ready to go over several emergency patches / new exe pushes? Or is it more likely that they simply fucked up a bunch of shit and then only managed to fix some of the issues while overlooking and/or missing out on broken stuff that then required further fixing? The best indicator of future behaviour is past behaviour.
