We’ve been celebrating EverQuest’s 26th Anniversary, and now it’s time to up the ante and add in some Missions! Keep reading on to find out more about these fortune-favoring missions!

New Missions:

  • Diary of the Jade - The Tests
    • With the original diary no longer available, the old team of adventurers is back together, and ready to lend support to a new generation to go through the trials in search of the Jade Tiger.
  • The Great Jade Idol Caper
    • The Jade Bandit has been one step ahead the whole time, but with the help of a hastily crafted device you can finally catch him off guard. What could go wrong?
  • The Secret Sponsor
    • The Shadeweaver Jade Gallery is in full swing. Experience jade statues, returning faces, and even a new group called The Doke Collective. Join in the festivities and maybe some mystery.
Jump in the game right away so you don't miss out on getting these missions done! The missions are available now until 11:00 p.m. PDT on May 10, 2025!
 
what mesh should we use for The Great Jade Idol Caper? the one i have gives a match mistype. i did load meshs off of the launcher
 
Mod edit: I deleted your image. you have a bad mesh. You need to delete that mesh and redownload the correct mesh

Diary of the Jade - The Test

Not updating at the Nautilus statue using /plead. Not invis, tried with all 6 toons, sitting, standing, etc.

I was able to get this mission after completing only Diary of the Jade - The Discovery and Diary of the Jade - The Search.

No idea what to do now. Test Server btw

Did this own earlier, just did /plead and got the update. Not sure if you have to have no target or what Not. I'll check again tomorrow
 
Yeah just run up and face the the statue. It works best when you face is straight on. If you are on the sides it doesn't seem to work as well

I tried that and still did not get an update, thanks! I suspect it is because I didn't have the correct anniv quests complete (unproven).

Just tried again after having 4/6 anniv quest complete, still won't update. I will complete 6/6 quests and try again.

Yeah, it's hard to say with you being on test what is going on. I know there are some bugs with the requesting part right now on live, only one person has to have done the 6 to ask for and get the rest of the group into the The Tests and the 3rd one, The Secret Sponsor but everyone in the group needs the progression to ask for and get into the second one, The Caper.

I had not heard of anyone being able to get into it but then not getting the /plead update.

I always stand right on the statue, like I am hugging it.

I've occasionally had the update not work right away. However, I find that if I move around a bit and do something to reset (e.g. clear any target) then it will work eventually.

It might be related to your distance from the statue, or your position. No idea, but it has always updated if I keep trying and changing things. Maybe try /dgga /plead in the hope that one of your toons is successful?
 
I have no map loaded on Idol Caper mission - is there a map somewhere I need to download?


guess I really dont need it - easy zone but i like maps (in my best "i like turtles voice")

Yeah that takes place in the grand guild hall and while they have the visual of it at eq resource walk thru and it works when I am in my neighborhood but I don't see it when I zone in.

Anyone find a map for this yet? I guess I mean mesh, but I read back and will try deleting the mesh and reloading.

Hello all, quick question. Just one toon needs to complete all the quests or you have to have your whole box crew complete the quests? Thank you in advance.
 
It looks like the shield Aug, 1H aug and dodge Aug are the only ones worth getting on melee characters (if they use a shield). Since they only have one type 8 slot on 2H.

Not sure it is worth plus 3 base dmg for a 300 less dmg on proc for casters. Might be too small of difference to matter.

Anyone else work through the new augs and come to different conclusions?
