Updated DPS section

I made a big update to the DPS section. I hated how KA weaves worked on my mage for such a long time. Maybe in KA12 they will improve. For now, after further tinkering, I dropped fire orb since sometimes it was not weaving correctly and eating up much needed procs meant for my DD spells. I am doing on average 300k without burns with my new DPS section adjustment. Since I continuously pull and farm names, i save the burns for named.

Edit: My previous response was actually stupid /facepalm. I already included it under my Heal's section. Please double-check my ini again and look at that section. I had it set there ages ago and that's the way I kept wanting to use it. No point in it really being used in burns or dps with that being said, so that should answer your question. It's an AA with a cast time, so you're losing DPS trying to cast it unless it's actually needed.

You can however move it over to burns I guess depending on your situation if you already know that your pet is going to take damage on a named engage (I can see this maybe being the case on TBL trash named more than ToV by my experience), but I personally had no issues with it staying in the heals section the entire time.

Currently the ini is continually firing glowing modulation shard. And as a side bar I always have group coth memed at the bottom of my Mage.

You need to add AA to summon *Radiant* mod rods, as that is the current level 115 mod rod and what this ini is checking for.
 
Why no dps entry for firebound orb when you dedicate a spell gem to it and a buffs entry to summon them?
 
NP. Please let me know if you have issues with anything else. I know certain AA get overlooked, or not modified to used the correct item. I am more than happy to assist with anyone stumped on anything.

You are absolutely right my friend. I overlooked it in me previously updated ini. I corrected it now to just use Shield of Destiny in a spell slot instead. You can see my update a moment ago. Let me know if you have any concerns/issues. Again, the weaves don't seem to work optimally and I hope in KA12 the issue will be fixed. For the time being, I find not using fireorb in the weave improves certain things. The issue is that it was sporadically using the proc up intended for spears which is what you want to avoid.

I believe this will probably be the final update to this ini until KA12 comes out. I removed all weaves altogether. I find they actually don't add anything further if you're the only mage and only pet class in group. I renamed the ini as such as well to not confuse anyone. And I re-added back the conditional for Twincasts, so all other conditional numbers changed. If you want to keep it the way it was with Force of Elements than don't bother with this update then.

If you load this on a mage that is not 115 will it trade out the spells and such on its own to what is available? Or do you have to go in and change it to what you do have. Also one more question when you load it the first time do you have to manually load the spells in the order they are in on your screen or does it swap them on its own. I absolutely love the set up of this but not 115 yet so I would really like to use something like this it's amazing. I loaded an older one since it was my level but it will only use like 3 spells on it and when it swaps stuff out it only uses those few and tells me I don't have that spell it's missing. Kinda was hoping it's because it's older and patches have changed ALOT of stuff now. Thank you in advance awesome job you did.

Greetings. This is explicitly for a 115 mage as the title suggests. It will the load the spells that are specified in the ini which most happen to be ToV/current expansion. It will also use the max rank levels of certain AAs such as Synergy AA procs and the last/final rank of the modulation shard. You would have to replace most of the ini with what you have instead. I suggest using one of the older inis in the library that is level appropriate for your mage instead if you don't wish to go through that burden.
 
Thank you so much. I can't wait to use this one it does look amazing. The other one that I am using now at my level works but not as much as I want because I am missing some of the spells for it. So it will repeat cast only a couple dd spells instead of using the level of spell I have so I'm assuming for all of them I must have all the spells defined in the ini file or I won't get full use of the download? I really appreciate you answering so quickly and helping me very appreciative I absolutely love this program and set up just trying to learn some of the smaller details
 
That is correct. All a KA INI file does is tell your Kissassist toon what defined spells (that you actually have) to load and how to use them. That's all it does. Since it appears your toon does not meet the criteria to use my custom ini file here, I suggest re-directing the rest of your questions to the general kissassist support threads instead here https://www.redguides.com/community/forums/kissassist-support.125/ in order to keep this discussion thread organized and on topic for 115 mages with the appropriate spells/aas.

Happy to chime in on anymore questions in the correct thread for support.
 
Poking around to load a mage ini on a new comp that replaced one i lost the mage ini i was using. Sounds good I will give it a try! TY

What additions/changes would you make if you were running 2/3 mages for alliance?

I don't run several mages, so I can't test this. But it's not complicated at all. You'd have to include it in your DPS section (i'd probably squeeze it before a twincast) and move the rest of the spells down. You'd have to check for a conditional that alliance is not already on. You also don't want your mages to all cast covenant at the same exact point in time with identical inis though. I'm also assuming that you only need to malaise with one mage and not all of them. There are a couple of ways to do it as per this thread here: https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/mage-covenant.70372/ which I won't fully rehash on this thread, but the basic idea is as follows:

INI:
DPS4=Firebound Covenant Rk. II|99|Cond6

Next, in your conditionals you need to check if alliance is already on the mob or not in order to cast it. You can play around with the mob health I guess.

INI:
Cond6=${Target.PctHPs} > 60 && !(${Target.Buff[Firebound Covenant Rk. II].ID}

On the rest of the mages, just change the mob health priority such as Firebound Covenant Rk. II|98|Cond6 and Firebound Covenant Rk. II|97|Cond6, etc.

Just keep in mind that with the Firebound Covenant spell you have to specify the rank if you're using rank 2 or higher as you see in my examples here.

Curious tid bit...btw LOVe the macro here 's the thing....seems in situations where I pull whatever lets say 4 mobs....they are mezzed ...mage is assisting killing just fine on the first mob....when that is dead...seems he is taking a good long while to get started again on the mezzed mobs to get killed....I m probly good 40 % into the next mob and one after...before he assists again and starts nuking....any thoughts?

Sorry, I just saw this post.

What mobs/zone are you killing in? And what percentage is your assist set at? Are the mobs also being mez-broken far away? That can impact things perhaps for you.

I initially have assist set to 99, but you can always change it to 100.

I tend to run my tank manually, so I always make sure everything is close to my toons anyway.

Keep in mind also any "lag" additionally affects response time. I'm not sure what your setup is.
 
yea I m not sure whats up.... mobs and the mage are RIGHT in camp assist is set to 100 but he still takin his time to get target and start assisting and killing again on the situation . like I said a single mob he jonny on the spot..but if I got 3 in camp...he s fine on the first mob..but then when its time to start killing mob 2 then 3...its like KA dont activate till mob is already down 20-30%... been thru the file million times I cannot peg what would make this so.
 
Sounds like your toon(s) are slow to react. One way to check it is to have your mage as the main window tabbed into and see how he casts. When you are tabbed out of other toons there are other things that can affect their response/lag. Unfortunately, I can't help with that part too much, but there are threads discussing this on other parts of the forum. It does not have anything to do with KA though but things like options/display settings if you are running all your toons on one machine.

I have been using this KA for a bit. However I recently renamed my mage for the fun of it. Now even though I have the ini loaded in the correct directory he doesn't do anything at all. I am relatively new in using KA and just have no idea why this is happening.

I was not expecting KA 12 to be out already, but I scrambled to do some testing. I apologize for the back to back update as a result.

1. All references to the clicky robe names now changed to use the more modern format so people don't have to keep editing the ini for it (still need to name your pet earring though)
2. I was stupid and didn't realized I left Elemental Form in for such a long time. It's been removed
