1. Configure your Enchanters
At the top of stunrot.mac, configure your Enchanters in the order you want them participating in the rotation.
You are
not required to use six Enchanters. Configure however many you intend to make available to StunRot.
Use the same configured list on each participating Enchanter.
2. Memorize Color Skew
Each participating Enchanter needs
Color Skew available.
StunRot uses MQ2Cast to handle casting.
3. Start StunRot on the Enchanters
Run:
/mac stunrot
on each participating Enchanter.
StunRot checks for
MQ2Cast and
MQ2DanNet and attempts to load them if necessary.
4. Check your setup
Run:
/stunrot info
to check the rotation and calculated timing.
You can also test communication with an individual Enchanter using:
/stunrot test CharacterName
5. Start the rotation
On one participating Enchanter:
/stunrot start
That's it.
StunRot begins the Color Skew chain and automatically handles the timing and DanNet handoffs between the available Enchanters.
Go pull something irresponsible.
6. Stop the rotation
When you've finally decided the mobs have suffered enough:
/stunrot stop
You only need to issue it once.
The stop is sent through DanNet to the configured Enchanters and StunRot ends on the crew.
To use it again, simply run /mac stunrot on the participating Enchanters and start a new rotation.

Recommended DanNet Setup from Very Vanilla
You can run StunRot individually on each Enchanter, but if you're boxing several Enchanters, I strongly recommend setting up persistent
DanNet groups. This makes starting and stopping the entire rotation extremely simple.
1. Create an Enchanter DanNet group
On
each Enchanter, run:
/djoin enchanters save
This permanently adds that character to the enchanters DanNet group.
The save option means you shouldn't need to recreate the group every time you log in.
2. Create a group for your initiating Enchanter
Pick one Enchanter to act as your normal StunRot starter.
On that Enchanter, run:
/djoin CharName save
Replace CharName with the actual name of your initiating Enchanter.
This gives you an easy DanNet target for commands that should only be executed by the character controlling the rotation.
3. Make a START button
Create an EverQuest social (by typing /ho StunStart) with:
/dge enchanters /mac stunrot
followed by:
/dge CharName /stunrot start
The first line starts StunRot on every Enchanter in your enchanters DanNet group.
The second line tells your designated initiating Enchanter to start the actual stun rotation.
I like doing this from a single EQ social, so
one button brings the entire StunRot system online and starts stunning.
4. Make a STOP button
Create another social with:
/dge CharName /stunrot stop
That's it.
Your initiating Enchanter receives /stunrot stop, and StunRot then uses DanNet to shut itself down across the configured Enchanter crew.
So once everything is configured, normal operation becomes:
START button:
Starts the macro on all Enchanters → starts the stun rotation.
STOP button:
Tells the initiating Enchanter to stop → StunRot shuts down across the crew.
Two buttons. No tabbing through boxes. No manually starting or ending macros on six different characters.
Example
If your initiating Enchanter is named Bob:
One-time setup on every Enchanter:
/djoin enchanters save
One-time setup on Bob:
/djoin Bob save
START social:
/dge enchanters /mac stunrot
/dge Bob /stunrot start
STOP social:
/dge Bob /stunrot stop
After that, StunRot is essentially a two-button system:
Start the machine.
Stop the machine.
Everything between those two buttons is StunRot's problem.
