- StunRot relies heavily on the excellent work already built into MacroQuest, particularly: MQ2DanNet: dannuic, Knightly, plure. MQ2Cast: s0rCieR, A_Enchanter_00, htw, devestator, Maskoi, EqMule, three-p-o, trev, alynel StunRot wouldn't be nearly as clean without DanNet handling communication between the Enchanters and MQ2Cast handling the actual casting.
StunRot provides an automatically timed, DanNet-controlled AE stun chain using Color Skew.
The goal is simple:
Keep the stun rotation running continuously, regardless of how many of your configured Enchanters are currently available.
Each participating Enchanter passes the rotation to the next available Enchanter using DanNet.
StunRot determines the number of available Enchanters and calculates the appropriate delay needed to maintain a safe full rotation around Color Skew's recast.
With the default 13.2-second minimum cycle, automatic timing looks approximately like:
6 Enchanters: 2.2 seconds
5 Enchanters: 2.7 seconds
4 Enchanters: 3.3 seconds
3 Enchanters: 4.4 seconds
2 Enchanters: 6.6 seconds
That means you don't need to build your group around a particular number of Enchanters.
Have six? Great.
Only want to run four? Also great.
Lose one during a pull?
The remaining Enchanters keep going and StunRot adjusts the timing.
There are deliberately no mob HP or target HP conditions that stop the rotation. Once StunRot is running, its job is to continue cycling stuns until you explicitly tell it to stop.
And yes, after realizing that might be useful, there is now a command for that.
/stunrot stop
One command is sent through DanNet to the configured Enchanters, shutting down StunRot across the crew.
