Can anyone direct me to the .zip file to update the latest version of Very Vanilla compile? It is the only way I know to update for the latest patch...

Not helpful, since that is not a .zip file download... looks like some sort of auto run program. The .zip file was a manual process where I could direct all my files.

the way i read your first post is that you don't know how to update outside of that?
have you tried the Update.exe in the install folder? (as mentioned in the resource linked by eqtrader74

Just trying to avoid any additional effort... I don't understand how the auto install works or if it transfers all my .ini's and other files to the new folder. I know how it works with a .zip file...

The update tool won't overwrite any personal files, just make sure if you have modified any macros included you also have them renamed / backed up.
I don't think I've ever had an issue with the update.exe, this is also a 'less effort' option really...
