Hello Fellow Addicts!

First off Merry Christmas all!

I was curious if current or up to current raid content requires 54 these days? Or can you get away with less?

My raiding days always consisted of 10 or 13 clerics, unsure if that's something still used on live. I am way out of my element, collecting some data for friends and I.

We are doing progression raiding on Test, and well we will be done before we know it. Just want to make sure we got plans moving forward.

What is your raid makeup?

Major heals these days? Or dps?

Do you feel you solo are capable?

Do you actively use GINA?

Are the mechanics much different from the old days?

Thanks in advance all, I am sure some people have asked before on this.

every event it different, and i would always aim for 54.

That being said, some events can be done with as little as 4 groups (fight fire) and 5 groups (TOV.. maybe zland in CoV since ToL bump?) ... right before ToL we did fight fire (squall rune!), grik and GD raids with 30 easy.

We (my box raid people), usually ask that everyone bring at least 1 tank, exceptions are granted, but *i dont want to tank* isnt acceptable.

Normal raids for us is (depending who is on):
4+ clerics, 5+ shaman, 2 druids
2+ war, 5+ sks.. sometimes a lonely pally..
10+ zerkers
3+ rogues
2+ bst
4+ bards
4 mages, 1 necro
2 chanters

again, changes by event and whos on, but dont need a ton of clerics.. 3+ war is helpful, but can do some T1 tov/cov with 1, and have the SKs do tanky tank stuff..

Everyone uses gina at some point, but you dont have to run it all the time for every driver/char.

Depends when you raided last.. yes, there is alot of procedual compliance. however, bots make it easy in a way, they ALWAYS do what they are told.. if they miss a emote, step in a aura, attack the wrong target, thats because YOU over rode the script.

GL, human driven raiding is a blast (i do that also), box raiding is a different, but just as fun challenge.

Thanks for the information and heads up. Definitely something Ive been thinking for the future.

I am sure its a lot of work going through for events ect to set them up. Stuff I need more information on for sure.

Yep it’s a lot of coding tweaks per event, lots of event setting, etc. How many real people and how much of the more recent expansions you’re wanting to do really controls how much micromanage/custom code needs to be done
