For those guys using KA for multiple instances on the same computer, how many can you run at once?

I have a fairly uber computer in terms of CPU, memory, graphics cards is stupidly over the top so I am curious just how many instances I could safely run on one beefy computer?

I've seen come claims for some pretty silly numbers from your super-power-user guys so I'm wondering how you are making that happen? Lots of computers or just a couple big honkin computers?

Using ISBoxer on a fairly decent machine I have gotten up to 24 on one machine.

The trick is that if you're only focusing on one, or a few, characters to just set the graphics settings however you want for those toons then minimize the rest to bare bones. I know on emu there is a setting to make characters, npcs, etc appear as stick figures, it's something you can change in the EQClient.ini. Not sure if this is something that applies to live as well though.

Sure that more experienced in 12+ with live can comment on that for you.

My computer isn't crazy it's about 2 years old and I'm able to pull off 24 clients.
Pretty sure I could go up to 48 if I added more RAM :P

Running an i7 / 16gigs of ram / 980 GTX / SSD

30 on an i5 with 32gb ram and 2 gig gt650 video card, all have particle effects turned off but everything else is standard.

only get a problem if I start opening a few webpages

I was doing 18 on an older i5 with 16gb of ram and a GEForce 560 with 1gb of ram. Funny thing is performance was the same whether I had 12 or 18. I upgraded my processor to an i7 and that didn't improve my performance at all.

I generally run a constant 12, have gone up to 18 without issues. I have found, on my particular system, that turning off stuff in the launcher like models etc saves memory but doesn't do much for performance nor number of loads I can get. Turning off things like in-game effects saves gxf mem and cuts down on lag, but I have found that I have a limit regardless. I have 2 CPUs and the system does a good job of balancing everything up to the 18 client mark. So I could in theory keep effects and models on, but I aint gonna do much over the magical 18 client mark.

My computer:
I7 4790k (OC'd to 4600)
32GB ram
2 780ti SLI (video cards aren't going to impact boxing much in a game like EQ)

I typically have EQ on my raid0 SSD array, just to help with any loading, although it really doesn't help much I've noticed with ISBoxer

I can load about 18 clients on my computer without having to tone down any graphics settings, but it starts to get laggy when I'm in a raid environment.

I have had as many as 100 toons logged on to 1 PC but I do NOT recommend it.... basically 2 toons per gig of ram is stable in most cases....

I have four systems that I can run up depending on what I'm doing. 3 of them are AMD 8 cores and one is a older dual core. I regularly have the 8cores using ISBoxer running 18 sessions at once, dual core running 6. Additional sessions have been loaded indivudually beyond that and all seems well. Two of the 8 cores are 16gb ram and one is 32gb ram. Video settions are set on medium for most with a few optimizations but not much. Particle effects are set lowish on most things for all sessions. On th eone 8 core with 32gb of ram, I will play league of legends at the same time I'm boxing often. If a team wipes and they all go to zone, it lags the crap out of my league game! The only issues ever really kick in is when you have multiple toons loading or zoning on any of the machines. I load web browsers and ochat clients etc without much issue at the same time as well. Slowly optimizing more details but the biggest thing I found that helped was using /vp off. :)

Worst PC I Have runs 12 without issue but have had as many as 15 up and still was ok. Its and old AMD Quad Core with 60 gig ssd and 8 gigs of ddr2 ram with 896mb 260 gtx
