writing macs and plugins

Hey im starting to get some better understanding of mq2 and had a question. will anyone show me the process of writing macs and plugins? I tried to at first make things harder than they seemed and it held me back. I would like if someone had a base code ,compile or something to start out with or maybe a time someone could teach me how to write them thanks .

Head over to Macroquest2 web site there's guide and links in the manual section. Also grab a few of the free macs from the forum, sometimes reading the code would help.

Finally I set the file association .mac to be opened with wordpad by default so it would open quickly.

Start a new text file, change the extension to .mac and try to open it. You should be presented with a box asking if you want to check internet or select from program, select the program, make sure to select always use this program...

Type in code. You can use standard EQ codes like sit, say, etc. along with MQ2 codes but do take care you don't blab about using MQ2.

I always like the syntax checking of notepad2

Notepad++ is awesome as well, someone at MQ2 site even posted a syntax file for MQ2. Haven't managed to get that working, but I use the default syntax checking(C++ one i think), which is good enough.

Ultraedit is also a great editor. One I gladly paid for.
