Request - Will someone try out the new Installer & Updater?

Tryed updater was perfekt for a noob like myself, failing to manualy update. so thanks for making my life easier.
 
Just ran installer and then ran the updater and got a newer version, tested the new folder in game and all seems very good, working as intended it seems :)
 
Reinstalled over a previous MQ2 folder, no issues. Just had to remove the release folder from the path as it seemed to want to keep that when I was picking a path.
 
Ok, I'm going to do one modification to the program (add a "settings" to enable/disable plugins) and then this will go live as our default updater.

Thank you to everyone who tested and clicked "install" on a strange .exe file!

Hey RB, could you add a feature that allows us to launch EQ and skip their patcher? I think that'd be pretty nifty. Set it up so that the launcher remembers your info locally (on the PC for those who aren't tech savvy) and lets you select which account you want to load.

That's a good idea and would help new users quite a bit. I can imagine how to do it, there's a nice C# plugin to encrypt passwords and the like, but I'm not sure I have the skill or time to gain the skill for this right now. Anyone up for it?

look at the way isboxer does it to remember the slot number and login you just put in the password
 
the Installer & updater works great excluding 2 very minor tweaks that I'd like to see (and I realize this is kinda nitpicky but I think want us to be able to put our best foot forward)
1) When I install the updater tool, the default icon that goes on my desktop is very grainy, like 8 bit grainy, I fixed it by using the icon from the old updater, but a nice clean smooth lines icon would be wonderful.

2) I clicked the "Remember Details" checkbox and it doesn't stay checked when I run the update the next time.

install went fine only thing ive noticed that dosent work now (when in game) is /kisscheck other then that alot of things are working better.

Now is this gonna be an issue to use on multiple PCs? Me and the Wife both use and Download from here with just my Log in . will Download and run it when I get home
