Likey because theres more and more people trying to buy into the server and start out or get plat?
I bought a few so that I could get started. Auctioned for 2 evenings and couldn't sell a single one for 6k. Saw someone else auctioning for 5.5k last night.

Basic supply and demand. Eventually the supply will drop some and price go back up.

On my server they're closing in on 2m.. I don't think we'll see a decrease anytime soon tho unfortunately

along with new players, older players also returned with the velious release. furthermore, lots of people had been hoarding kronos in anticipation of velious and in anticipation of ever-increasing prices, which inflated the price up to the 8k peak but now that folks need cash for important transactions (gems, armor MQs, spells, etc.) a lot of the same folks liquidated their krono.
honestly i'm not really surprised at the slump. krono went up almost 2kpp over the course of 2 weeks back in february before settling for several weeks at 8k. i sold my first krono at 6k and was kicking myself a week later when they were up at 7k.

Just snagged 4 krono for 5k each. Someone must of found a loophole in the game.
There was a massive spike in Krono that was artificially manipulated by people hoarding and trying to jack the cost up daily at the end of Kunark going in to Velious.
This is like any overinflated market bubble that burst a bit. People needed to liquidate their krono to tradeskill and do armor quest turn ins. The amount of plat on server was of course going to weed out the price a bit, and people trying to undercut so they can sell their hoard of kronos also.

It's simple ... if i want to make more off my krono's i make a Fake demand for them ... Set toons up to auction WTB krono and toons to sell said krono do it enough and you force the demand up and the price as well, same effect to drop said price .
