Where do You get eqemu???

Hello I am completly new to all this I just signed up to this redguides website about an hour ago so far I love it but I was wandering where do you get eqemu? how doyou set it up? what exactly is it? Is it like the uogateway for ultima online freeshards? please help I am so confused =(
