Curious, is it best to start MQ up AFTER I log in my toons or do I do it before I start Everquest? I've noticed some peculiarities when I do one and not the other.

Oh and while Im asking, what does "refresh injections" do in my Macro icon on my bar?

I always start before EQ. That I can autologin all my toons.
If you do a /unload which unloads mq2. Refresh injection will reload MQ2 without have to relog in your toon.

If you start it first it will also auto load all of you toons into you EQBCS server too.

Ok thanks. When I start EQ after I log in my toons their names are on the eq windows on the task bar. Whenever I start MQ before I start eq they all just say Everquest.

Since mq1/mq2 came out I have basically always started mq2 after doing eq patch and before running the eq client

  1. Turn on PC
  2. Run Redguides Update
  3. Run MQ2EQBCS
  4. Run everquest patcher (then close it)
  5. Run MQ2
  6. mq2autologin groups as needed

Create a zoned.cfg in the root of your mq2 or \config \configs if you have that folder
Put this line into it
Rich (BB code):
/setwintitle ${Me.Name} ${Me.Level} ${Me.Class.ShortName} ${MacroQuest.LoginName}

I usually boot up Mq2 while my isboxer char set is booting up. Booting up EQ doesn't slow it down or mess it up and I have nothing else to do but boot up MQ2, come see what's new on these forums and wait as it loads up 30 some characters.

I know you have most of your eq-life setup with isboxer binds but I have been having a love/hate relationship with isboxer ever since the enhanced mq2autologin and the mq2nav-vs-isboxer drama.

On one hand I love having 24 chars up where I can see them all (SS below)
On the other hand I like having room for browser windows and notepad, plus I dont need to have a lax subscription

Personally I only ever used isboxer for window placement and never got into the broadcasting/overlays

I just dunno!
