Question - What was this Necro PLing that was nerfed?

chat on General was talking about some method of PL using a Necro (using Chaos spell?).
Supposedly nerfed now.

For future posterity how did that work?

And what stopped working?

EDIT: It was not Chaos but Echo of Dissolution line (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=49213). Not sure how it worked though.

I am no Necro but it would seem to me that casting this spell would let you pull several mobs into the area of the Well of Souls, and they would die.
Don't know the damage done by the spell, but at 103 level should be good, unless they nerfed it. Just a guess on my part.

my best guess:

pull mob into aura after having done at least 1 dmg, aura is a 23k dd.

most likely the 23k wasn't being attributed to the necro and so the only damage that was "owned' belonged to the lowbie toon.

the nerf most likely corrected the "anonymous" nature of the damage.
