Question - What the heck happened?!

I need the community's help in understanding something I observed while playing Everquest.

I was at Wall of Slaughter questing a daily, killing murkglider's which take my level 71 warrior with mercenary healer about 1 minute per mob,
when I observed a level 66 warrior run into the area aggro 5 murkglider's and in less than a minute kill them all.

It was just he and I in the area. I know as I use MySeq on a separate monitor.

I have all aa's for level 71 thanks to auto grant. I use elegant combatant's gear and weapons ( 70 to 80 level appropriate).
I use the awesome plugin MQ2melee, thank you Maskoi and all other developers for it!

My question, how is it possible for a level 66 warrior to insta kill 5 mobs that would take my level 71 about 6 minutes?
I would like to know so I can do it to! Level-ling would be much faster, obviously :-)

You sure it wasn't an Berserker? They look like warriors sometimes =)

Big DS and cleric healing DS? Do warriors get some kind of riposte disc? Lots of ways he could do it I'd think.

Maybe he popped his Whirlwind blades or some other type discipline to complete his Hot zone quest? Or he could of also donated for buffs in Guilld hall before heading out?

To everyone that has replied, thank you very much. You have useful information I will try all suggested and see if I can duplicate the level 66's damage output.
I have not played Everquest in a very long time. When I did I was not very good at it, but I had tons of fun with friends new and old.
This time around I want to be good at it :-)

Jut a quick update ( I like to be thorough lol).

I investigated the abilities mentioned by poster's as well as the buffs.

AA's and disciplines mentioned aren't available until after level 70, my warriors level at the time. I went in fully buffed with all buffs mentioned and then some! Used dps enhancing abilities I did have (whirlwind blades), but could not duplicate the level 66 warriors kill time. Not even close.

My personal suspicion is he was using an exploit or a dps macro of some kind.

In any event your comments prompted me to learn more about the warrior class, and for that I an very grateful.

As a side note, there is very little current content information available on the internet about any EQ1 class. I was surprised by this.

He might have had Panther from a Shaman or a Shaman PLing him. Panther/Tiger/Whatever procs a DD and procs it very often. Its really short duration buff tho, like 2min.

Riposte disc, spider bite procs, raid weapons (significant upgrade from defiant), he could have fabled pop which probably do 2-3x the damage yours do, buffs, augs, there's so many things that could explain this not to mention the fact that what seemed like a minute may of been 2 or 3.

All I have to say its very doable at that level. I PL in WoS and do about 40 mobs at a time using DS strat. I can confirm no hack exists in live that can instant kill mobs, or considerably up dps.
