The question has come up concerning ninjadvloot and nodrop/notrade items. Currently and historically nodrop items have always been flagged =ignore. Should this be changed?

If Ninja can recognize the class usage and pass it to the appropriate class, and see the trib value (plat value) of the item. I personally think it would be great to first pass it to someome who has it as need/greed. Secondly then to the appropriate class, and finally to anyone that can trib/sell it.

Not sure if it makes sense, I am having a bad day at work.

+1 for option to loot based on tribute value and class detection

I just looked up the TLO and members again. They are very limited. This will not be possible with current TLO members.

In lieu of being able to detect appropriate class, since it's gonna to go to waste anyway by virtue of being marked ignore (and the chances that the sole original looter is the right class is 1 in 12 not considering class popularity statistically?) I vote that every member of the grp gets the item before marking it ignore. Why let it rot? I don't see how rot serves a purpose other than perhaps slightly increasing the time it takes for bags to fill up. In a 6 man grp, there is a chance that someone could use it but no one would even know it came and went...

Example would be: Gem of the Biting Depths. ML looted it, can't use it, INI got marked Ignore, all the while the bard is sitting over there crying cause it woulda been an upgrade... You really want to piss off your CC?

IF that goes against general consensus then let me turn that functionality on via an INI setting.

Hoosier you don't need the AdvLoot TLO as much as the Item TLO. If you can get to the Item TLO take a look at this. http://www.redguides.com/docs/projects/macroquest/reference/data-types/datatype-item/

I don't think it will work without having the item in your position. At least I couldn't get it to work for check the value until it was already looted.

I strongly suspect I will try to make the options selectable in the ini file. Everyone will then be able to choose what works best for them. Looks like the default will be quest|1, depending on how the poll progresses.

Not sure how, but there has got to be a way to get to the ItemType, without the item being on you. I am sure you look at item information all the time while the item is still on the corpse, from the advance loot window. Isn't there a way to link items in EQ chat so others can click on the link to view the items stats? There must be a way, but everything I see in the MQ2 code uses an item in in your inventories, or on a merchant, or on a corpse.

Even using the Baz window allows you to review the item stats on a seller, so there is a way to get to the ItemType, just not sure how.

It would probable have to be added to the Advloot TLO by the developers at MQ2.

This becomes a slippery slope, what all should we check level? class? stats? heroic stats? clicky abilities? spell abilities? ... the list could go on for quite a while. I'm simple not up to coding that much.

Good point hooiser, I would request a simple class/race check if it became possible, merely to identify who could use it. All the other stuff is way outa scope and I don't blame you, I wouldn't wanna code all that...

However, if everyone got the item, then it got marked ignore, you wouldn't have to code for any of the checks and I could simply destroy the item (or tribute) from any toon that can't use it.
