Question - What is causing my Wizard to run up and try to melee targets?

Initially, I thought this problem was related to MQ2Wizard, so I was posting there. Now, I don't think so.

Initially, I was running lots of plugins with my Wizard. Things like autospend, map, nav, Lua, autoaccept. Things I consider quality of life plugins. I brought my Wizard to raid because I wanted to try out MQ2Wizard (these plugins are awesome!). My character would run up to whatever I was targeting. I was surprised so I tried different options to stop him from doing that but I cannot figure out why he keeps running up to his targets, even with everything turned off?

The last raid we did, I unchecked every plugin via the plugin manager. They were all red. I turned on MQ2Wizard only, and he still ran to the mob instead of standing and nuking.

Settings on MQ2Wizard: Melee off. Manual mode. Raid mode on with valid raid assist set. (Also tried with raid mode off but it did not make any difference). /assist off (so EQ would not automatically /assist
Also tried using Mode 0. Same issue - runs up to whatever player or mob I target.

(at this point, ONLY MQ2Wizard was running, all other programs were red/off). I turned off MQ2Wizard and started AfNuke. Same issue. Runs to whatever I am targeting.

well, mq2wizard stuff should remain in the mq2wizard thread - not randomly about the forums, but you said this was happening when you paused mq2wizard, which would point to it not being mq2wizard

You don't have your Wizard properly camped is the most likely reason. I don't know about Kissassist but if you aren't running the plugin try the RGMERCS Lua and make sure your toons is properly camped.

and nothing is shown in the mq window when it is doing it?

Macroquest doesn't just make you run up and hit stuff. It sounds like you have a macro or Lua going that you forgot about since you were diligently turning off plugins.

If you see this again, I'd suggest typing /end and /lua stop. If it still continues then your Macroquest is likely haunted.

Yes, I agree.

The only thing I have used Kissassist for in the last year + was for my bard. Different account all together. I have never used RGMERCS. This Wizard was (I thought) only using MQ2Wizard which was why I initially posted there, but the problem was still apparent even when that was off, so I moved to this thread. Sic gave me a few things to try for next time I log him in. I cannot see where camping is an issue here, but I thank you for replying and trying to help :)

Nothing in the MQ window, no :(

Ty for the suggestion. I will try this too next time I log him in.

Very late reply, but I think it was the Lua OutAssist. I had been running my Wizard with this outside of my main group to assist/nuke while running MQ2Wizard. That Lua makes your char stick to your target. (that is the only thing I would change about it).

I'm really glad you found your answe they advice you not to run any kind of extra LUAs or Macros on toons with the Plugins FYI Happy Hunting my friend!

While that is very true, it is the only thing that allows outside groups running CWTN to assist my main target w/o using indirect agro like heals or such. I usually only use OA with pure melee classes like rogue or zerkers.
