Request - What are your favorite hotkeys?

Hotkeys can save you a lot of time. Have you ever created a new hotkey and then wondered how you ever got by without it in the past? Please reply with your favorites.

I just recently created this one:

Hotkey: BANK
Line1: /tar bank
Line2: /nav target

It's super simple, but why didn't I always have this? (Actually, it's because I didn't know about mq2nav before.) Certainly, not every banker has 'bank' in the name, but this works in the zones where I spend the most time. I might not have any idea where the banker is, and this saves me a lot of time. When I gather several accounts to consolidate loot (tradeskills on one, gear on another, spells on another, etc.) I use this hotkey as an easy rallying point. I punch the key and then switch to a different window while that one is running.

Along a similar vein, This will take you to near the GL door in PoK:

Hotkey: GL
Line1: /tar Spiritmaker
Line2: /nav target

It just occurred to me that I might even be able to zone by 'nav'ing to a spot just on the other side of the zone line. Has anyone tried that? I'm at work now, but that sounds like it would be worth trying. Or, I could nav up to the zone line and then /keypress forward hold (like I would for a teleport pad). /click might work as well. Has anyone tried these methods? That would save even more time. Thanks in advance for sharing.

You can zone by naving to a target on the otherside of a ZL - I similarly have hot keys like you just made that nav to the parcel guy in PoK and the parcel guy in origin cities (Since im on TLP)

along those same lines one I found useful was

/nav target


When boxing as many chars as me sometimes some automatically 'break follow' - mq2advpath says something about some warping shit, I think what it's trying to tell me is my CPU cant keep up with 24 EQ clients at one time. Therefore, I have a key that essentially "catches anyone up" who fell behind - also works great when I wanna take my group somewhere and they're spread out. I can hit 1 button and they all run to the tank while I grab a snack then I only gotta hit Follow when I get back from AFK and the autobots are ready to roll out.

How would you target a door and navigate to it?

There is a '/nav Door' command, not sure exactly how it works without going into game and testing it to see how you tell it which door

I generally use the /travel command to go through zones that have doors or portals to click. Only place it doesn't work is in the custom guild hall to go to guild lobby but I'm sure if you set it in the mq2easyfind ini where your door to the guild lobby is it would work
