Tip - Want a new house but don't got the crowns?

First off, This isn't like a huge big awesome thing that will be nerfed soon. At least I hope not! I am pretty retarded and I didn't even think of this until about two weeks, well today.. three maybe even a month after the new loyalty merchant homes came out. The new ukeep free homes available to purchase with crowns (loyalty bucks) whatever you want to call them. They have no upkeep cost, and vast storage compared to the regular homes that you buy with plat. Crowns are a bitch apparently to acquire. Everyone started off with a ton, depending on how long they had continuously been subscribed. So, now that I have none, the weekly gain is supposed to be like 120 max but they haven't updated this stuff in a while so my lame account still has 244 after a month or more. I hate sony, so lets hate them together!

They said these homes won't be around long and I believe them. Everything good in EQ goes away too fast.

Like an ididot I tried to buy a bunch of gold tickets and sell them before everyone realized they could get their own for 900ish crowns. So I was stuck with like 6 gold tickets and not even 300 crowns on both my accounts. Now all my toons and my alt monk can now turn into a DE. LOL fail. So to the point, sorry I am suffering from insomnia right now. I decided to test out transferring one of these no trade houses via plots!

I hustled the mage over to the subdivision he had a plot in, bought him a nice big giant no upkeep house for 486 or whatever crowns. Placed it, and transferred the plot to my shaman. It worked, the home stayed with the plot just as the message said. So then I transferred it to my main. I still only have 244 crowns to my name, but I have a nice shiny new l33t home thanks to my newbish haxoring of real estate bug loopholes. yay me! If only I had more crowns somewhere to buy my monk and shaman one now. lol

Confirmed. Couldn't see the houses until I unchecked "Show only items I can use. Weird.

Np, Just trying to chip in and give everyone a heads up against the bastards. At this point the only fun part about EQ is finding out how to rip them off.. since I have been thoroughly fucked over by them in recent years, months.... I am wondering if I should have even mentioned it but then again, why keep a good thing down, at least here. I'm not the type to blab all over the lobby, fuck everyone unless they figure it out themselves or read it here. lol I'm just sad I didn't have the right tradeskill for that furniture plat sell thing early on. I am a GM max trophy tailor and my monk has 200 brewing.. that's the extent of my TSing. I only ever maxed brewing back in the day to be cool and make vodka for myself. Anyone else remember doing mino hero brew combines one piece at a time? UGH, and to top it off, I was an Iksar doing it in FP. lots of sneak and FDing involved.

Yeah so this is nerfed now. I just tried to do it again for a new alt and nada. If you place a house now, it belongs to whoever placed it. If you try to put into inventory on the toon you transferred the plot to, it says, you are not the owner of this house bla bla bla. but now there's an option to mail it to the owner, lol. I guess all good things must end, anything good that happens just disappears.

I bet they changed it a while ago but I just noticed it so this one's been Borked by the system. I'm just glad I can place and use it on the toon the plot belongs to. I need it for storage so it's kinda lame now since the house is owned by another toon but being used by my alt. Thanks for making things all tricky and lame sony, once again.
