Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121123

Re: Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121112a

Prior to the last patch, my background FPS on other instances would run at minimum setting .....they are all running @ pretty much full speed now. Was this setting changed?

Re: Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121112a

thats SoE changing stuff around... they changed how eqgame.exe is compiled... now they are using aslr... smoother code so when your character is in the background it doesn't lag like no tomarrow... this is good and bad at the same time... good because you can bot easyer off the same computer but bad because it is going to take more ram to run each instance of eq....

basic terms... it was a everquest change... not a mq2 change...

Re: Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121112a

So that's what going on. I've been wondering why my fps has been so much lower.

Re: Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121112a

I just bought a brand new desktop with one of the best GCs I could get.. still fps is lower than it should be... oh well I have a hdmi monitor so I'm happy

Re: Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121112a

I am having a loading issue. I load MQ2, then click on the EQ patchme shortcut and the first instance loads without any problem. When I box and load the 2nd and 3rd EQ patchme shortcut, there is no MQ2 in those instances. I recently uninstalled EQ and moved it to a separate hard drive as I am running Win7 64 as an administrator and I kept having problems with my spell sets not saving. Thinking this was an issue with the funky security in the program files folder, I moved (reinstalled and patched) EQ. After the move, no MQ2 in the 2nd and 3rd boxes.

Any suggestions? I have searched but no answer so far.

Re: Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121112a

First thing is to make sure you are running MQ2 and Eq as admin.

Re: Very Vanilla Temp Compile 20121112a

For some reason all player character names are showing like this...

${If[${NamingSpawn

What did I mess up? It has been that way for a week or more and finaly decided to see if anyone has seen this before.

Thanks,
