I had probs with aoutologin using ISBoxer. Got the information here, that launching "next" after all EQ-Accounts is a workaround for ISBoxer.
Works well for me.
As WinEQ comes from the same source as far as I know, did you try if this helps?
Would you be so kind and post the process step by step like:

EDIT: GOT IT TO WORK. Used the following steps

1. Open ISBoxer
2. Select Char/CharSet
3. Wait til all windows are open, waiting for password to be put in.
4. Open RG Launcher
5. Start MQ
6. Start EQBC (if your so inclined)
7. then the log in process continues by itself without further action.

Another +1 for me too on this one. I configure and forget I have it until my chars are still logged in while they are dead.

This is in the latest build.

Has MQ2AutoLoot been ported over? Just using MQ and the normal plugins, to include MQ2AutoLoot, any time a toon gets to an item marked Destroy MQ crashes.

brainiac fixed this about a week ago we just hadn't pushed a build, it's in the latest build.

When using the frame limiter to limit background frames, if you get hit with a blind effect, it blanks out your entire UI, even on the foreground window. Normally, the game still renders your UI and it's only the 3D game objects that don't get rendered. Is there a way to get the normal operation while under blind effects?

Having some issues with MQEasyFind after swapping to next today. whenever I load my toons in I have to unload/load mq2easyfind or else its not recognizing that the plugin is loaded, simple fix to unload/load plugin but not normal for plugin to not load up when its loaded on login without a reset

I would check your MacroQuest.ini to make sure you don't have it set to read only or anything. Having to toggle the plugin sounds like your MacroQuest.ini isn't saving properly. And even if it isn't read only, just double check that MQ2EasyFind is set to load as a start.

You shouldn't have to do that anymore. It should work every time. But with IsBoxer you do have to remember to launch MacroQuest.exe as admin, since IsBoxer launches EQ as admin.

Checked macroquest.ini easyfind is set to =1 had just converted to macroquest next and noticed the problem right from the start after conversion.

Also have noticed with easyfind if I set my group to nav somewhere and have Follow me toggled on and toggle it off stops the group nav competely. not sure if that's built in as part of new easyfind but was never an issue prior to next.

Aswell as If I have Follow me toggled on and for whatever reason toons get stuck somewhere or whatever and I hit Come to me it doesn't untoggle Follow me ui button on group window leaves Follow me toggled on but drops the afollow from group.

1. yes
2. yes via the launcher unless you're self building - but if you want to also download all the VV specific stuff, you'd use the launcher.

eventually MQ "Next" will be the version that is only the launcher and there won't be "MQ2"

well, changes still require reversing when they make changes, and sometimes that means extra legwork - especially if they make large changes that butcher everything else.

brain has a pretty slick process for next/REing, so hopefully, it is a bit more streamlined, just from the perspective of MQ dev workload - but nothing is just magical unless you can get the devs actual access to the actual everquest source files :)

I believe the code for this just says that when follow is toggled off, stop all movement. Should be the same in legacy MQ2, though I did fix some bugs where that wasn’t working under dannet so if you're using dannet, it’s possible you were relying on that bug in legacy MQ2. However, you can check the MQ2GroupInfo.ini and change all the commands to your liking. I added in any of the commands to the ini so it’s all customizable for what it does.

Follow Me is a toggle, I would expect it to not be untoggled until you turn it off, but I think this behavior is also defined in the ini for what happens when you press Come To Me. This is similar to your first question where when you issue those commands it completely stops all navigation, that behavior shouldn’t have changed from legacy MQ2. Take a look at the ini and see if that helps.

Is anyone else having an issue with pressing the number "one" key minimizes and makes your eq instances leave the task bar. I cannot even press that key when typing in this box with Next loaded. If I launch group without Next, problem does not exist. This only started happening yesterday. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

this sounds like you have your macroquest.ini with "bossmode" set to 1

INI:
# setting BossMode=0 disables it.
BossMode=0
 
that was it. Thank you. I was trying to figure out how to re-enable active plugins and this seemed like the right terminology.

For this its just the UI button for follow me that is not getting untoggled when pressing come to me, may have just been a bug you were referring to in legacy mq. may just be something for me to adjust to.
 
Hmm, so if you load up a character fresh when you’re having this problem and type /travelto poknowledge what happens?

and if I do travelto it works properly but in MacroQuest settings under plugins>EasyFind my Group command plugin whether its on auto or EQBC ( what I run) it says in red "Unable to find supported plugin for group commands. Load a plugin to enable group commands." I have EQBC loaded and server is up and running fine. reloading eqbc plugin does nothing only fix is reloading easyfind plugin. so any group commands though the find window to move around I get " Cannot execute group command, no group plugin configured"

Ah, so it's not that the plugin isn't loaded, it's that it's not working with EQBC. Got it. I see the bug.

Im unsure on how/where the actual implementation would go. I see the MQ2Overlay which has Implementation, but also for example, The MQ2Nav plugin has imgui Rendering implementation as well.

I want to create a custom XTarget/Group window that has additional functionality, but I do not know where the actual implementation would go. Are there shared imgui implementations, so I don't need to create the renderer/dx9/etc and viewports within the plugin itself?

If you use mkplugin there's a very small example, but you don't need to do this in C++, you can do it in Lua. BoxHud and ButtonMaster both create UIs in Lua as examples.

I suspect you're looking at the mq2 version of mq2nav. the overlay code has been removed from mq2nav and is now relying on it from mq2main.

if you're writing a plugin, you just do ImGui::Text etc calls inside of the OnUpdateImGui callback within your plugin.

Oh, I never noticed that part of the stub. And yes, it'll likely be in C, I really dislike high level languages like Lua (cut my teeth in C++/C#). But it seems that what you and knightly are talking about, Lua has done alot of interesting things. So may use this project as a way to learn it.

after I select MQNEXT , there is no options, I have downloaded it manually and thru the launcher .

I have changed my directory to point to it, but there is never any options that come up

Is there a install guide for this, i have looked for quite a bit ...thanks

i actually did all that , in the video , he never shows you the last step, where i am stuck

how do you launch it ......I am selecting MQnext from the drop down menu on launcher, then i have no other options, if i do live instead, the menu appears asking me other options...if i want to launch eqbs with eqbs2 etc , with just mqnext selected on top, i have no options ....no big black screen appears or anything, like before

Is it ok, to delete everyting ( and reinstall ) , i really do not have that much saved , besides my profiles to login

because there is no option to launch those from the launcher at this time - eventually MQ "next" will be the main thing on the launcher, and have all the buttons you're used to seeing.

you can go into your next folder and launch the new eqbcs that knightly did, or go into your old vv folder and launch from there (or the mq2 launch on the launcher)

I’m getting a weird bug with setting up profiles.

The character name is being used as the login for a few accounts. It’s not all of them just one of my 8 profile sets.

I can reproduce it if you want to see it.

I'm not able to add any new characters to profiles. It's saying not valid account.

Usernames and passwords are correct. Existing profiles that were imported work fine.

Nvm figured it out the autologin.ini was still pointed at the mq2 install folder

I got it going, I believe. I just cant connect with my other characters

used the tray in the launcher to start the EQBC server

the server is waiting for connection ......any ideas thanks

did you try and connect to it with your characters?

/bccmd reconnect

or

/bccmd connect xxx.xxx.x.xxx with your local ip addy?

also if you're running a service AND the free standing once, you can run into issues.

but you're into "eqbc issues" territory and not really related with next
 
Sorry if this was asked before, any idea why group members wont show their distance like old mq2 build? which plugin was doing this, coz i have MQ2Targetinfo already loaded.

there were updated eq xml files today - so if your EQUI_Inventory.xml or EQUI_LootWnd.xml aren't updated and you use a custom ui - you will need to update those.

^ UIErrors.txt is telling you where it's finding an issue. You'll need to correct the issue in the file indicated.
