I downloaded the EMU update today and now I can't login with MQ running because I get this error. I played last night with no errors. The live update worked great.

You've got an incompatible plugin thats causing things to crash... figure out which one it is and remove it.
 
In my case, I've figured out what plugin caused the issue and disabled it in the macroquest.ini. Next steps are to wait for the author to update the dll I guess?

Yes he needs to rebuild (or you do). You can't swap willy-nilly with plugins; people are just so good about keeping everything up to date nowadays that sometimes you get away with it.

I have one Lua and that's it. Zero plugins

I haven't adjusted and revised anything.

Guess I'll wait for the next rebuild.

mq2nav is a plugin
mq2autologin is a plugin
mq2easyfind is a plugin.
a lot of stuff are plugins.

if you do a `/plugin list` you probably have 30+ plugins running at any given time.

if you look in your plugin folder, there is *probably* something out of date, it is worth checking

I was answering someone who was using an external plugin (mq2mono in this case)

edit: This isn't the best advice. Also see below.
I would advise you to use a previous release if you are still having issues and wish to play immediately

you seem to have a lot of plugins loaded. But thats not the problem anyways.

Your crash report indicates that it is crashing while trying to create the ChatWindow, which is part of the MQ2ChatWnd plugin. This appears to be some sort of problem with the XML data. All reports of this error are unique to you.

I'm not sure why its failing here, it would be hard for me to tell without a copy of your EQ dir. Hopefully this is helpful to some degree. you can unload the MQ2ChatWnd plugin and see if everything else works.

@Redbot we should definitely consider having this turned off (even tho MQ has defaulted on) for emu specific build

Setting port to 0 assumes that the remote peer uses the same port as the local peer (default to 7781)
Can change the NetworkPeerPort entry in the \[MacroQuest\] section of the ini to change the connected port
