Stupid question, but when was the last time you restarted? Before or after this started happening? MQ2Cast will consistently crash if you don't flush the memory. (It's more than just a little memory issue).

i've restarted it several times, deleted the the complete compile, restarted, redownloaded it, restarted AGAIN then tried... =\ i think thats enough restarting for one day lol

and yes, i've tried soft and hard restarting... (hard restarting being where i completely shut down the computer and turn off all power to it for 10 seconds and then boot it all up again...)

i also attempted to use on a completely seperate computer... CTD...

What am I doing wrong when using MQ2Autologin with Test. Do I put Test in the server= section or do I need to put in something else?

I'm playing on test now, thanks to Heroic Characters and free accounts. I got everything set up and stuff, but I'm looking for the mq2 chat window, and there's nothing there. I plugged in mq2chat so i could at least see what was going on, and when i do /plugin mq2chatwnd the plugin isnt found. I grabbed the dll from the live compile and tried to load it, but that was a CTD.

Is mq2chatwnd supported on test?

Yes not sure why it didn't compile MQ2cahtwnd though sends all the spam to your normal eq chat window you want /plugin mq2chat and make sure your macroquest.exe is set to run as admin

Are you sure? Everything is running as admin and all that.

/plugin mq2chat --> all mq2 stuff goes to the main chat window
/plugin mq2chatwnd --> dll doesnt exist so obviously nothing happens

This would seem to me that mq2chat sends to main chat, mq2chatwnd sends to the mq2 window.

Another note - mq2map dll is missing from the compile that i downloaded, although the ini is there.

The test compile from the morning is borked like 7 plugins didn't compile uploading the new one now.

I'm throwing an application error very consistently on all versions since the last patch.

"Eqgame.exe - Application Error; The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

Not sure if it's at all related but the icon is a different color instead of the standard "red" for redguides.

mine said something similar, but still allowed me to get into game with it running.. did yours allow you to do that? also the color has changed on mine as well.

There is a new updated macroquest2.exe that has been released by the eqmule at macroquest2.com. It is a new color.
Make sure you are running it as admin.

Here is a copy of the old one if you want it.

I always do my best to get the fix done as quickly as possible but when they patch late a Friday night, it takes a lot of willpower to start immidiately on it... This one took a good 12 hours was lots of struct changes and stuff. But there is always room for improvement. Thanks for your support redguides.

I think I might have found an issue with exchange. I need to verify, but now when I pull my SK is not swapping out my range item with his bow correctly. The item stays on the cursor and the bow stays in the range slot.

ya that might be a little wonky. I think they are looking for a solution to that bug at MQ2

Just got home and logged in, I didn't see any specific files updated, but MQ2 is throwing the client version error.

I attempted to repatch test and still threw the incorrect client version...... I then unloaded MQ2 and decided to re-install the compile. That appears to have fixed my issue.

Crash to desktop with 4/17 compile. Tried unloading all the plugins, and it still crashes.

No. The only one in my folder is the old one. Should i unzip manually instead of using RGUpdate?

that did it. I have the new blue one when i extract manually

Can you paste the first few lines from the itemdb.txt?
If it's the old one it doesn't have stacksize and you could just copy it from the live zip
