Follow these instructions if you are going to play on the test server or
you will overwrite your current EverQuest Directory

So you have 2 EQ folders regular and test server
Example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Everquest\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Everquest Test\

CREATE A NEW MQ2 FOLDER FOR THE TEST SERVER COMPILE.
The test server compile does not work on live servers and vice versa.
Example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Macroquest2
C:\Program Files (x86)\Macroquest2 Test Server\

The RGUpdater works with this compile BUT MAKE SURE you are pointing it at the correct folders.
Its saves the location so you need to switch between live and test servers when updating if you play on both.

There may a be better way but currently you need to log into the test server using the SOE EQ Launcher then start MacroQuest after you have logged in.

TEST SERVER COMPILE IS CURRENTLY UP
Make sure you are using the NEW RGUPDATER V 1.0.3.
It is included in this compile just grab it out of the zip file and save it over your old one.

Awesome.... Keeping my fingers crossed for a quick turn around. Just got word we are not going into work, tomorrow would be a great day to check out new zones for myself. If not, then i guess i can do some tradeskilling.

First thing I have found since I went with the new compile is this when I launch /mac kissassist tank...
MQ2 You have no slots in your Extended Target Window set to Auto
MQ2 Please set at least 1 slot to Auto and restart KissAssist

As far as I can tell my slots are all Auto, never have touched them in the past, so not certain what it beening looked at now.

I get a error when I load MQ2 first and try to open each account of mine using the bypass patcher

its the regular crash popup from MQ2 about blocking info.. I turn it off and load into game and turn it on and its fine so far.. just figured I would share

and I am also getting the same error as GPS Soldier

But they tend to push test changes to live. However, the executables are rarely exactly the same and the date stamp is always different, so I would doubt it if it works.

it wont work, this is for test only.. not any live server...

and not everything that gets patched on test will make it to live

they are completely different, im sure some one will chime in with the technical know-how to explain why test compile wont work on live.. I just dont remember what was said along time ago

is there any trick to getting this to work with wineq2.0 lite?
i have tried running mq as administrator and running wineq2.0 in compatibility mode and still no go
please note: i also cant get mq2 to attach to eq unless i load all my toons with the regular eq launcher first and not using a shortcut with patchme

you've loaded the characters into the game and then tried to load MQ2?

did you send a copy to desktop or just drag and drop the macroquest2.exe to the desktop?

if you dragged it, put it back in the folder and run it there

Bah,

I know there was a small patch lastnight, haven't logged in today. I guess I'll head to my boy's baseball games today and try to see if things are up and running later tonight. Again, thank you for all the work you do to support those of us who play on Test exclusively.

I just downloaded the zip, but haven't launched it to replace my current install, but I had a question. I opened up the kissassist.mac and it states v 6.8.6 is that correct or should I save my current 6.8.8?

MQ2Cast has memory issues. If I had a bit more time I'd look into it, but it seems like there some corruption going on that is persistent until you flush the memory. I haven't had problems with MQ2AutoLogin yet (I use it all the time, I'll keep an eye out...)

The fix for mq2autologin worked fine but mq2cast is haven't more issues than just a little memory... its CTD 90% of the time that you cast through it and the other 10% it just gets hung or something because it acts like i did nothing... btw maskoi i'm using kiss... i can send you the mq2log that i did and my settings if you want... i'm using a 85 sk, so with heroic accounts you should be able to make one and do exactly what i'm doing lol
