NOTES


Many issues are popping up after the the back to back patches on 9/23 and 9/24.
We are and the MQ2 Devs are looking at each issue as it reported.
Please be patient these bugs are fixed.

Instructions

1. Use the Patchme command to bypass the SOE Launcher
2. Download the Very Vanilla compile zip file at the bottom of this post.
3. Download the RGUpdater.
4. Use the RGUpdater to update your MacroQuest files. Instructions are here.
5. Run MacroQuest2.exe from that folder
6. Run EverQuest.exe
7. In-Game, type "/plugin <plugin name>" to add all plugins you wish to use
8. Click Here for Plugin Commands/Descriptions.

Updated for today's patch.
TLP USERS: Xtarget may not work currently, need Maskoi to check some stuff.

• If EverQuest crashes when trying to log in, make sure you're using the newest RGUpdater.
• If you're using Internet Explorer and having issues with "attachment.php" or Smartscreen Filter please read here. Or just use any other browser.

Experiencing a ton of crashing with this release. Not even getting errors, just a complete crash, game window closes with no warning or anything. Usually happens when porting my group, but it's happening now randomly just standing around.

I also have "closed window" crashes. Only seen when using advanced looting (changing settings for items has been the cause each time). No error message, no nothing. Just closes the window.

Yeah this just starting from this compile. Usually running kiss I'm getting the close window crashing. Although starting with the last compile, I was crashing a lot (with error msgs) from zoning. Was typically the same characters crashing too, adding to the confusion haha.

Server coming down in 25 mins, unknown if there is an eqgame.exe push or not.

This latest compile does not seem to be stable for me:
--Have been using ISBoxer for about 6 years and now use this in tandem with MQ2.
--I load up all 6 toons using ISBoxer, Get to Char Select, Start MQ2 and every toon save for whatever one I actively have selected is Extremely Twitchy with noticeable FPS drops.
--Have Rebooted a few times, Retried with ISBoxer + 6 toons + MQ2 / Not Stable.
--When I have tried ISBoxer + 6 toons (No MQ2 loaded) / Stable on all 6 without twitching the other non-active toons.

Thoughts? I know my Video Card can handle the 6 toons as I have frequently done 7 to 8 toons on this box. Only now and only since the latest compile 9/24 is this happening. The 9/23 compile was not having this effect.

I would appreciate any assist with this.

There are some reported issues we are looking into them.

These last 2 patches were very large. They have all the Halloween stuff plus are all changes to AAs and the items spells.

We should have a new compile sometime tomorrow.

A fix for xtarget on TLP is fixed in 0924a compile.

Aye Aye Maskoi -- Appreciate all the work that is going into working on the compiles.
I will continue to be patient with it of course (and try a few more things).

To answer Redbot's Q: YES, I can and do play EQ without MQ2!! haha... been doing 4 to 6 boxing on regular basis. But no where near as efficient as with how MQ2 helps with it.

UPDATE: I have run a few more tests with Rebooting each time beforehand. Using only two Accts with ISBoxer and one test without ISBoxer. Both tests resulted in twitching of any acct that was not currently active with my cursor on it.

If the Devs would like to know more about my specific situation (hardware setup or so), feel free to PM me. I'm glad to help out what I can in this process.

Twitching = Severe Lag, apx 1 FPS or less

Gett item 32 when mage tries to give pet weaps.

Also, mage keeps memming buffs, but not casting them, just memming and instantly unloads the buff and loads another /repeat

While running KA with this compile, toons are cycling thru memming their buff spells but not buffing themself or others.
