Instructions

1. Use the Patchme command to bypass the SOE Launcher
2. Download the Very Vanilla compile zip file at the bottom of this post.
3. Download the RGUpdater.
4. Use the RGUpdater to update your MacroQuest files. Instructions are here.
5. Run MacroQuest2.exe from that folder
6. Run EverQuest.exe
7. In-Game, type "/plugin <plugin name>" to add all plugins you wish to use
8. Click Here for Plugin Commands/Descriptions.

• If EverQuest crashes when trying to log in, make sure you're using the newest RGUpdater.

Probably because they screwed up lots of stuff! Including that wiz Mercs wouldn't assist unless on Burn. Makes for an exciting group though!

Servers are coming down an 12 pm. hope it doesn't take out kiss. just a heads up so don't patch an hope it will work that way till an update if it ends up needing to be

I only use wizzie mercs on burn anyways

I do when I have a tank, but with pet tank and x 3 wiz... things get a little dicey.

No it doesn't. Older version way older used to but as live outgrew the progression it was to hard to keep kiss working on the old expansions.

i can't get the new compile to work, i even reformatted my computer to try to fix the issue, any help? i keep getting the error "Unhandled Exception has occured in your application. Cannot read that as a ZipFile." this is the first i have had this issue with a new compile.

Make sure you run the EQ launcher so you get the most recent client from EQ first. If still not working manually copy the files from the .zip file into your MQ directory. I had a few issues and manually moving the files fix my issue.

1. Make sure MQ2 is not running.

2. Open the zip file with windows explorer and open the release folder(Double Click it).

3. Select everything in the Release folder and then copy(Right click a selected file and choose Copy).

4. Right click on your MacroQuest2 icon on your desktop and choose Open file location.

5. now Paste(right click choose Paste) the copied files from Step 3.

Wait for the new MQ2 build to address this patch. You should never, ever, ever patch your EQ client unless you're absolutely sure you need to (EQ won't let you in the game). The DBG devs occasionally, and more frequently of late, can push stealth patches that will break MQ2 but aren't mandatory.

I'm a bit of a noob at all this.

How do I avoid it when it does it at log in?...is there a bypass?
